Exclamation

An award in another colour?

"The “Best Use of Digital by Sector Award”; was received for Ocean Sky’s newly-launched website which was created alongside Omobono digital communications agency."

Other than that, what is the point of such a post on the Luton Forum?

easyJet Timetable For Summer 2011 Has Been Released...

Had a quick look through the schedule for LTN using the booking system on the website, and seems compariable with this year and unable to find any major changes. Which I suppose is a good thing!

But from what I could tell the following routes are operating as follows, when checked on a random week in June:

ABZ - 2x Daily
AGP - 2x Daily
ALC - 1x Daily
AMS - 3-4x Daily
BCN - 2x Daily
BUD - 1x Daily
CDG - 3x Daily
DTM - 2x Daily
EDI - 3-4x Daily
FAO - 1-2x Daily
GLA - 3-4x Daily
GVA - 2x Daily
HAM - 6x Weekly
IBZ - 1x Daily
INV - 1x Daily
MAD - 3x Daily
MAH - 6x Weekly (Only in July-Sept)
MXP - 2x Daily
MLP - 3x Weekly
NCE - 2x Daily
PFO - 2x Weekly
PMI - 2x Daily
PSA - 1x Daily
SAW - 5x Weekly
SSH - 4x Weekly
SXF - 2x Daily
TLV - 1x Daily
ZRH - 1x Daily (Think has been 2-3x Daily in Past)

Work that out to be about 47-49 flights a day they will be operating...

No flights currently bookable for BHD, GNB, CAG, KRK, TUR or VIE...
(But could be available at a later date.)

Any variations on the current schedule, I have missed?
(Apologise for using the 3 letter IATA code for airports, but limited for time and can easily cross check these against the easyJet website if unsure!)

gilesdavies

I picked on a week next June and seemed to get 15 morning departures
but 16 afternoon evenings, which seems similar to this year.

The Nice and Barcelona early afternoon departures don't come back until
very late evening which I think happens now with a couple of flights.

I assume you mean BFS not BHD in your post but the others tally with my jottings.

The morning gap I found could be Mahon which appears not to be bookable
in June but is in July and August.

No I did mean BHD (Belfast City Airport)!

easyJet switched their Belfast ops out of Luton from BFS (Belfast International) to BHD (Belfast City) in February this year. All of easyJet's other flights to Belfast fly into BFS...

I think Buster has implied what is going on behind the scenes, hopefully everyone will come to an agreement which suits all.

Baa & Stn

So if BAA is unsucessful in holding onto Stansted and Abertis is sucessful in re-negociating the agreement at Luton, could we yet see major investment in Beds?

Grrr

I am sure the demographics of the Irish population that use the Arann services into Luton would be somewhat displeased to find that they land at the seaside. Mind you, if Stobart are offering cheap deals to entice, anything is possible!

If BAA sell Stansted, Abertis could walk away from Luton and purchase Stansted. Now that would send the Town Hall into a quiver!

Abertis can't "walk away from Luton" until the end of the concession, sometime around 2028.

It would surely be risky to buy Stansted before they had managed to persuade someone to buy out their interest (or lack of interest) in Luton, but perhaps they have deep pockets.

Abertis run 31 airports, I don't think you can blame them.

If they had deep pockets why did they not buy LGW?

More LTN v STN rant, at least if BAA have to sell STN then no more cross substisty from the group and it will have to stand on it's own feet for a change. RYR won't be happy!

September passenger figures down 0.1%

Source: CAA

September 869030 -0.1% rolling year 8710460 - 6.3%

Seems very reasonable compared to some others.

EDI was up 2.2% at 873425 but rolling year 8697544 - 3.7%

BHX was 914610 -2% but rolling year 8645126 -6.5%

I see Wizz are to increase their service to Bucharest from 11 weekly to double daily from 15 December. The Flybe Jersey schedule for next summer seems to be a daily operation cannot remember if it was the same this summer - can someone confirm please - many thanks.
