COB - well done for speaking up.
Many of the staff I knew who went did a lot more for BHX than Kehoe could ever dream of, and for less than 10% of the price
Only heard about the FD today - perhaps not exactly one of BHX's greatest losses. However, the question will no doubt be answered - will yet another one of Kehoe's "contacts" be parachuted in on a massive salary, or will the Deputy CEO take back the purse strings - it would be sensible and more "cost efficient!" After all, Brian Summers and Richard Heard never needed Deputies and they weren't on such a lucrative package
got rid of a large number of staff, thus saving the Company money
Now we are seeing staff leave of their own choice including the Finance Director, what does he see that others don't?

PK has been a disaster for BHX. he has treated staff abysmally. He has wasted money on his pet projects that have been disasters. He has bullied his management team so much that they are leaving or searching for other positions.
I think there is trouble brewing and it will be justified.
Not much hope of him going any time soon, unfortunately, as there won't be many trying to head hunt him based on his BHX achievements.

C100 that is very interesting. In the meantime rumour is that yet another one from marketing is also on the move (going of their own accord). So yes definitely unravelling and not before time!

August Passenger figures
Source CAA: -
August 2010 BHX 965008 down 4.8% - Rolling year 8664244 -6.7%
Rolling year just below Luton and Edinburgh.
I thought it might have been a bit better but never mind....onward
and downward.....oops upward, actually downward at present.
Air France
From November their fares have been adjusted and now similar to flybe
but still T1 at BHX and T2 for flybe.......well at least to they merge.
flybe still showing all six flights as theirs on the 195.

FD's departure followed a rather loud argument with CEO, apparently heard by many in the vicinity.
Sad that BHX pax figure is still behind EDI - hoped it was a brief dip

No more International
Birmingham Airport no longer ‘international’ : Birmingham Airport News Stories
Some great stuff coming out of BHX - not. Although I have to say I am no fan of the use of the word "international" for airports.
Do we know how much of this other 60% travelling from other airports actually could fly direct from BHX not just via a hub?
I would say with about 15 core destinations missing from the direct route map it is of no surprise only 40% of locals use BHX.
Having said that some encouraging signs again on business routes even for August especially Germany and as usual, Emirates was up 10%, in fact all long-haul was up - well Continental was only by one pax but still 90% load factor. Some heavy losses mainly on routes vacated by Ryanair or Baby frequency reductions.

Cheers for the info, not heard that one.

So we had another invented job at great cost, 'Head of Brand'!! Well they have been worth the money eh? What will bring in all the missing customers? I know lets drop the word 'International' from the name, that is sure to bring them flooding in.
Brilliant! Master stroke!

Birmingham Airport or West Midlands Regional lol!
Probably in about 6 months that will happen and I will send them a bill for my services

Surely to maximise our international intentions & to get more people flying into Brum, it can only be 1 name:
Elmdon London ( North ) International!!
Best Wishes
