Not sure, Stockholm is still going oddly enough.
Also seems the soon to be launched LCY-ABZ just kicked flybe off LGW-ABZ. Planned or real competition I wonder?

Skipness - would Virgin applying for the Aberdeen bmi slots at Heathrow and publicly announcing the fact have anything to do with Flybe pulling off Gatwick-Aberdeen as well ?
BACF announced their LCY-ABZ route on or before 24 April, to begin service on 24 September.

I suspect people booking out of LCY may have made a dent in forward bookings and VS may have been the clincher. Seems INV-LGW may be going to the DHC8 so if the numbers add up, CFE could do LCY-INV and basically steal all the business traffic.

The VCE flights should be operating under the flyers callsign
BA8479 - Should be operating as CFE38M
BA8480 - Should be operating as CFE18J
And what proof do you have of this??

Same reason Flyers are about to start operating out of Gatwick. BA are slowly and incidiously replacing mainline pilots, and they don't see it happening.

Departed as "Speedbird 8479", I wouldn't have noticed but I made the mistake of booking with BA to the IOM and of course the S2000 had overnighted at LCY with no crew to operate the early departure from LCY. I assume it went tech again as the morning inbound was cancelled.
A replacement crew was ferried from the IOM, so were told, presumably via LGW. It's still on stand being prepped.....I hope this lease has penalty clauses!

The ancient Greeks believed the earth to be flat. Eratosthenes demonstrated the earth to be a sphere in approx 240 BC - his estimate of earth's circumference was quite good. After that it was simply a question of whether you accepted the existing proof or needed a stronger proof.

DJ. Well said. However, to split hairs.
The distance round the equator is greater than round the north to south route.
So not QUITE a sphere.
For those who may be about to get all uptight and defensive on this.
Its posted tongue in cheek.
