VA and VB were both in Bordeaux between 7th Nov and 23th Nov 2013 and between between 13th Dec 2012 and 4th Jan 2013 respectively. Both of these were D Checks carried out by Sabena Technics of which EI have had a ten year agreement since 2009. Lower maintenance categories i.e. C Check's and below are centralised in Dublin facilities there own and partners.

The lack of choice of holiday destinations available from Cork is highlighted by the fact that it has over 50 flights a week to Spain, Portugal and The Canaries and only 5 or 6 flights to everywhere else. In contrast similar sized airports in the U.K. Have a far greater balance with plenty of flights to Central and Eastern Mediterranaen destinations. The overcapacity to the Iberian peninsula should lead to some very good flight only deals in May, June and September.

We now have more flights to Spain, Portugal and The Canaries than we had even at the height of the Celtic Tiger and less choice of destinations than we've had since the 1980's .
Monastir, Malta, Dubrovnik, Bodrum ,Bourgas and now Crete have all gone

Because demand to traditional resorts have grown again, take a look at the amount of UK-Spain flights, they're growing more than the '08 peak back to the pre 2000's level. It's a simple as this, people in Cork forget all the Charter flights to the Med in Portugal and Spain have now been dropped bar Reus, hence why scheduled operations there are growing and charter companies are using them. Demand to Croatia, Turkey are starting to grow again, due to the Thomas Cook Ireland collapse we have lost a few destinations however I can bet Falcon will have a bigger 2015 programme.
Monastir - Demand down due to recent events even from DUB.
Malta - Catered for by flights from DUB.
Dubrovnik - Actually growing again from ORK.
Bodrum - Thomas Cook Ireland collapse.
Bourgas - Possibly expect it in 2015.
Crete - Expect it in 2015.

Those dates are over a year ago and you would not get a D check done in that timeframe for the other(ive done them)those heavy D checks are a thing of the past with phase inspections,They were in for light phase checks this winter in H6 to extend the C check dates.Hopefully DUblin aerospace get the rest of the contract they have,Sabena are terrible

You are correct, they were Charlie (C) checks - which makes sense, have been told the Delta (D) Checks take up to two months for EI regardless of type. What's so bad about Sabena? Although I agree, I'm hoping they centralise maintenance in DUB in 2019.
