MUFC is spot on about loads being good. Its half term starting yesterday folowed by practice week then TT. If any airline isnt getting 80% LF for the next 2 weeks on all routes theyre doing something wrong. LF on most Logie flights have been 20-40% and seem unchanged on Manxy2 so the markets growing again. Or maybe it everyone just switcing from LPL to BLK as most fares are £25 -£34 on both airlines even for next weeksLPL is £39 -£109

I think people are moving as it is cheaper, easier and also free baggage plus onboard service! What more could you want!

I think the next few weeks will be very busy and after that is where the competition starts as you may not have noticed that Manx2 havn't launched their BLK-IOM TT schedule this year which ran hourly on all 3 weekends around the event. As you say flights will be full and the BE LF will grow over a period of time if it is allowed.

I just hope Manx2 still get their load factors.

Why would Loganair operate where they feel there is no demand for seats? Its better to have fewer flights with fewer empty seats! Also GLA is not being 'Cut' for the winter. It has been single daily during winter since the days of BA franchise!

yessir, with punters deserting BE's LPL for BLK and the new fast Steam Bucket starting any chance of the LPL fares coming back down to match BLK levels

I have copy pasted this from a Club 328 thread where someone asked when the BBC programme about the HBOS Reading branch (which funded CJS and other aviation companies) was coming out. I imagine several people on this site would also like to know.

BBC Radio programme

The BBC Programme is 'File On Four' radio 4, Tuesday 26 may at 8.00pm. and is repeated next Sunday at 5.00pm, although I imagine it will be available on the BBC website at any time after Tuesday. The story will also be broadcast across the BBC news channels on TV and radio on the same day.

Anyone who feels they have lost out because of the CJS, Club 328 or Euromanx debacles, may also like to know their is a Debate in the House Of Commons on the 2nd June (Tuesday week) specifically on the subject of the Reading Branch of Bank of Scotland and its treatment of small businesses - very relevant to several aviation companies. If you have been directly affected and want to support this debate, you should get your MP to contact James Paice who propossed it.

I cannot say what the BBC programme is actually about because I don't know the details and the BBC have been very protective of letting any thing slip out prior to broadcast. However, I do know they have been researching for 14 weeks and one of the Companies they have looked at in depth is CJS - the parent Company of Club 328, Euromanx, J.E.T.S . It's also the Company that lost BoS millions of pounds.

Blue Islands engine fails.

Manx Radio news reporting the Blue Islands flight inbound IOM from Channel Islands suffered an engine failure, diverted into Liverpool. I guess it was their J31?

Manx2 haven't run their increased schedule this year which was HUGE last year - they had hourly flights to BLK and BHD/BFS and increased frequencies on other routes.

BE have another couple of routes this month in BLK and BHD but we will have to see how they effect the Manx2 loads. From their loads it looks like both are doing very well.

I doubt it will be happy reading...

Absolutely stunned today by number of people flying out to the Island from NCL today. I was in the Eastern lounge, and when they announced the IOM departure for boarding... well... the place emptied!

Must have been full/nearly full!

I agree. The introduction of the A380 on NCL-IOM has been amazing.

I must admit the sarcasm in those two responses made me laugh. An Eastern A380 would be quite a sight!

Only reason I mentioned it was because normally it seems theres usually less than 5 pax on the IOM flight, but as I have read on here, the TT is coming up I guess. I've never been entirely certain how they turn a profit on the route normally. Is it subsidised or something?

Just heard that the Loganair IOM/BLK/BHD routes are for the chop from 12th July.
Economic situation and poor loads are to blame.

Probably for the best before the routes started costing the company money, with only a small market on the IOM the aircraft can be used elsewhere on Loganair's network to better effect.

Tallaonehotel, what is your source of information?. Flights still bookable beyond 12 July.
