Eastern operate BHD-IOM five times a week, whereas Citywing operated multiple daily flights. Passenger numbers would obviously fall with a reduced service.

There would be less on BHD-NCL because on the BHD-IOM sector there were passengers getting off at IOM, and others getting on for IOM-NCL. This is the issue that the new schedule has resolved.

In 2016 BHD-IOM pax numbers were 23,424 and BHD-NCL was 24,335 in 2015 when Flybe operated the route (plus over 250,000 using easyJet). In 2016 only 4,149 used IOM-NCL. If I was Eastern and looking at those figures, I know exactly what two routes I would want to be non stop.

In July BHD-NCL was via IOM, which was a disincentive to use the service.
