HH6702, when you say 'expect them to start stuggart early next year', is that a prediction from you, or is it a something you've heard?
I've heard TUI are to close HLX, also ThomsonFly.

Can't remember now but I think TUI were also recommended to look at the possible sale of ThomsonFly and HLX.
Although a few routes may come and go I think the overall picture will be expansion, with new routes being announced at regular intervals.

What is with all the SAS flights from Oslo recently?
Today there are these:
SK7111 09:40 OSLO LANDED 0936
SK7112 10:40 OSLO GO TO GATE 19
And
SK7121 14:40 OSLO
Also, what are Air Atlanta using into NCL from Lourdes/Tarbes today?

Thomson 2006
Just been checking the Thomson website, and there are suddenly an awful lot of extra flights appeared from NCL to Palma for Summer 2006, plus a Sharm el Sheikh flight on a Thursday, and an extra Ibiza flight on Weds evenings.
When I checked the Thomson Lakes & Mountains website there are also two Salzburg flights on Wed & Sat that originate, and return, to NCL (Dep 8.00 Rtn 19.10), these are also operated by ThomsonFly.
For some of the Palma flights the Flight No.s are the same for different days(e.g. TOM4201/2 on both Thurs/Fri nights) and the same goes for the Salzburg. This is a pattern usually followed by Scheduled or Low Cost airlines, as charter carriers normally have different flight numbers per day for each destination.
Might be totally wrong, or does it look like ThomsonFly(Low Cost) could be basing an a/c at NCL next summer?
When checking the turnaround times for the usual Thomson flights, this is usually one hour for every airport abroad, whereas these extra flights are only 45mins on every one, which is consistent with ThomsonFly's Low Cost operation(all usually between 30-45mins turnaround time).
Can anyone shed any light on whether NCL is getting an extra aircraft for Summer 2006, or whether I've got the above completely and utterly wrong??

Thomson Summer 2006
Which website are you looking at?
Looking at the brochure 2nd editions which have just gone on sale it looks as some flights have been dropped. no extra flights
AEA to palma on saturdays is no longer shown!
All flight codes for next year are 4 numbers with no letters.
Have a look here http://groups.msn.newcastleairportspotterstimetable
HLX - slots have been given thats why it has been on the arrivals board a few times.

HH6702 the link you posted to spotters website doesn't work, do you need to register first?
As I have previously posted TOM are to operate a few flights with 737-300/500 a/c using TOM flight numbers, like the charter flights will be.
XLA will have an extended programme and are to op a SSH flight, using 737-800 a/c. Happily 734's will not reappear!!!
Please bear in mind though that charter programmes are subject to change right up until the last minute.

Britannia/thomsonfly are to base 2 x757s and 1x737 at NCL next summer. As of yet it is unclear what flights the 737 will be covering. However the 757s will be operating the flights published in the brouchures.

Yes you will need to join the group.
BY having 3 aircraft at ncl this will mean no more aircraft basing for easyjet then? doesn't look like aircraft 7 is going to come.....
Also noticed that TCX will do the izmir flights overnight on thursdays rather than Pegasus.

I need to update the timetable will try to do this over the next few days. This is some of the information i have put together from websites and the 1st edition brochures.
It\'s changing all the time out there so please keep the information coming and i will update again.
To access the Summer 2006 timetable go into documents.

The masterplan does allow for 16 new stands to the north east of the terminal building. I'm not sure when they will be built but if we are looking for any serious expansion I'd imagine this would need to be soon!

I don't understand why you think there is a need for extra stands, unless you know something I don't. Everything working fine this Summer season, if the rumours are true then next Summer will bring 1 extra based aircraft in the form of a BY/TOM 737. The new routes wont put much demand on apron space, the Jet2/ChanEx is already here all day every day, the AA757 is on the ground at off peak times and the RYR flights are only on the deck for 30mins. Therefore 1 extra 737 doesn't necicitate a apron extension, unless RYR decide to open a base (which i dont think is gonna heppen in the next couple of years). Granted an apron extension is in the master plan along with the terminal, but i think pax numbers will have to move on a milion or two before it happens.
