CRM in the early days....Two HP, One pulls...the other pushes, one does into wind T/O's and Landings, the other does Cross-Wind's. Even BA would have trouble defining the shift of duties between HP/NHP/HLP/NHLP.

BAe trial the worlds first rearward facing cockpit, in a £1,000,000 design study, unheard of in 1917, the enhanced visibility of having the engine and propellor behind you was proved, a further £2,000,000 MOD sponsored study to address the poor pilot control layout and operation was announced.
