Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

OK Sarge, we're all in, ready for the assault. Just one question.

"How the f*ck do we get out?"

Coffman old Lad,

In 1970.....upon leaving Active Service I shifted to the Army National Guard in my hometown. It formed an Aviation Company equipped with UH-1H Huey's and designated it the 30th Infantry Division (Mech), Division Aviation Company.

We were blessed with a full complement plus in aircraft and ground vehicles, and at one time I and two other Pilots were the Officer Cadre....the bulk of the Enlisted Troops were existing members of the unit that had been redesignated from an existing National Guard unit..... the 230th Support and Transportation Company....a Truck Company.

So...as usual...your humor is based upon truth!
