Could any LGW skipper comment on how the fixed roster is and how busy 2017 has been for you? Cheers.

speedrestriction 28th December 2017 15:23

2017 has been good, dare I say it. Better sector pairings, more crew (allowing for more 2 sector duties) and slightly longer turns have greatly improved the schedule vs the previous year. Rolling totals are between 750-800 for me but undoubtedly you will find people with more or less than that. A few blocks during the summer got pretty disrupted but were in response to big slot delays affecting duties at the start of the block - not necessarily caused by anything within the company's control.

Would anyone be able to enlighten me as to current wait for the glasgow base? And also if it's a stable base in terms of number of aircraft based there or does it change significantly from year to year?

Thanks in advance.

It’s only pprune mate! Don’t take it too seriously or personally. I come here to vent my anger at the penny pinching Airlines making blllions and to gather some info. I think I’d go orange before that red LCC any day. Worse case scenario I think I’ll start a small Meth lab in my later years to fund my retirement.

PS could they not deduct it from the Gross salary?

Hi All,

Could anyone whose done the Non TR - First Officer assessment recently give any details on the sim element please ie. is it done on A320 / B737 etc...?

Thanks

flareflyer 28th January 2018 11:11

Just checked the website. Now DEC only for LYS and Berlin.
I really hope that after the summer they will open again for other bases

dirk85 28th January 2018 13:45

The openings are officially just for a handful of bases, but then they offer whatever is available.

In the last few months italian, french and german bases have been offered, with or without type, despite no official openings for those bases.

flareflyer 30th January 2018 07:39

Thank you soooo much for the info Dirk:)

Do they plan some training during the summer?
Any chance to join in july or august as NTR?

dirk85 1st February 2018 11:39

Not a lot of training going on during the summer. I wouldn’t plan on any type/occ after April.

737 Jockey 26th March 2018 15:46

Why don’t you phone them?

We Pilots sometimes have a view that Airline HR departments run like (Swiss) clockwork. Unfortunately that’s not always the case and you are to some extent just a name or application reference number. Give them a call, at worst you’ll find out what’s going on, at best, you’ll remind them you’re there and interested, what’s to lose? 👍🏻

VJW 26th March 2018 19:14

Very good advice ^^

Not really true this year, due to the extremely high number of recruits (800 pilots). OCCs are running non stop at least until september. Types probably not, but who knows.

flyhigh788 6th April 2018 16:17

Anyone has an idea how long one type rated will need to wait in the talent pool these days? Thanks :)

TRSS

Anyone who’s recently gone in as NTR CPT on the TRSS. Is the monthly cost deducted from gross or net salary? I was told gross at the presentation, but have heard others say net. Hope it’s the former 😱🙏🏻

This is not a should you/shouldn’t you any for TR debate... that’s been done to death and we all know it’s not ideal, but it’s their show and you either accept the rules or you don’t get in, unfortunately.

737pil 7th April 2018 23:39

From net of course

Hello guys!
I'm a currently captain rated on A320 but I don't have CAT3 training wich is required to apply as TR captain at Easyjet. I checked on the requirements for NTR and it is not required CAT 3. If I applied as NTR would I be charged all the A320 training? Any ideas?

737 Jockey 21st April 2018 20:11

If successful, you’d do an operators conversion course which would include LVO elements and then an LPC where they’d sign you off with ‘LV’ on your U.K. licence which you’d need to convert to when joining easyJet. Shouldn’t be a problem IMHO.

That's the problem... I can't even proceed with the application on the website becouse when I answer on the questions I don't have CAT3 I'm informed I don't have the minimuns for TR application... Even though having 6000 hs PIC on the A320... I'll try the NTR form and check what happens... I already have an UK license...

Cmon-PullUP 22nd April 2018 15:51

Sorry for asking, but how can you have 6000 hrs on airbus and not be Cat 3?
