The taxation can change a lot depending on family situation (married/not married, kids, etc).

The entry contract in France is SO, not SFO!
3000€/month, including sector pay, before income tax!

The question was about SFO contract, I honestly didn't put the effort to check what the entry contract is.

Can't you join as SFO like in Germany/Spain or FO like in Italy?

Impossible to join as SFO in France, FO if full ATPL and more than 1500 easyJet factored hours otherwise SO.

dirk85 19th June 2018 18:53

Similar to Italy, but to join as FO there you need more than 3000 hours factorized.

Sirijus 19th June 2018 19:06

Does anyone know, what is the type rating cost for NTR FOs joining the Berlin base?

Also, which salary level would I start in with ~2300 factorized hours and an ATPL?

Thanks!

Anyone in the hold pool for UK FO DEP ?

Perhaps bad news on this front but apparently (says Balpa), direct entry recruitment in the UK is stopping for now until the problem of direct entry pilots being recruited on 100pc contracts when experienced current easyJet FOs are being forced to take 75pc contracts for seasonal resilience purposes. easyJet have been doing this for years! Finally, the current generation of FOs have moaned enough that Balpa have remembered they are not just there to support the captains.

You would join as FO. SFO only with more than 2500 factorized. You go up in rank after 2 years.

I dont know about the rating.

EZY assessment

Hi Guys,
I have my interview for DEC position next month, all in one day (non tech assessment, group exercise, individual interview and also SIM!!).
Could anyone provide the latest contents of the non tech assessment and the sim profil?
Thanks a lot

Altair 24th June 2018 18:54

Hi lfrk,

I went last week for NTR DEC.
sim: from edinburgh SID normal takd off no fd no ap. FO from EZY but acted as a sand bag.
Then a bit of manoeuvers to get the a320 in hand, basically climb/descent with a given ias, 35 bank turn at given ias....
Then hand fly ils raw data

Positioning at fl350 LOFT frm EDI to LGW. Medical eme, divert to MAN. The objectives is to check the managment skills so I gave control to the FO.

Back to LGW EZY office. 30mn presentation of ezy and the test team: 3 pilots and 2 hr.
Then 30mn group exercise: given an A4 with the description of the exercise. Quite vague on purpose. 30mn to solve the problem. We had to build 4 tunnels to carry a vehicule, all with restrictions and limitations.
Main objectives: check your participation, leadership and management.

Later, 45mn hr interview. Advice: gather as much info as possible on ezy, the core values and organisation. They will check your motivation on that.
3 scenarios for a STAR discussion. Prepare these carefully.

And then good by to catch the flight home😉
I hope this will be useful. The day is VERY relax and fun. They are all pro so be careful, behind any question lies a snake.... Stay relax and try to enjoy, a smile does not cost much but can make the difference.
At last, you will get a thorough briefing before any task so they are not trying to trick you. They tell you what they expect frm you and what they want to see.

The Easy way 😊

Exactly the same as what I went through in January. The day is designed to catch your personality and leadership style. Raw data flying in the a320 would be the only way to prepare for the assessment, something I personally didn't do and don't think would've done me much good, as they cut me more slack for never having been in a a320 flight deck before.

Like previous poster said, it's all very relaxed and aimed at having a nice day out. Nervousness would probably be your worst enemy. They trust you can fly a plane as a DEC (okay you have to actually show it by doing some turns and climbs/descends during 10 minutes). Seemed to me that they are just trying to weed out bad personality fits (could immediately identify 1 in the group exercise: "what you're doing is wrong, I'll show you how they want it to be done"...)

Good luck!

Many Thanks guys!!

Is the sim assessment conducted on 320 or 737 for NTR FO? It seems to change from times to times....

DEC NTR Bond

Hi Guys,

What if you tick DISAGREE about TR self fund on application page ?
Do they still call you for interview or is it a nogo ?
I agrée to be bonded for 2 or 3 years but not to pay for it ...
thx

VJW 29th June 2018 08:58

I did that. Doesn’t make any difference. You’ll currently pay for it one way or another - either upfront or through your net salary. To be honest I don’t regret joining for one second.

Does anyone have any knowledge of the rumoured 4 on / 4 off roster that is allegedly going to make an appearance at the UK bases (i.e. it is definite)? thanks.

captain.weird 29th June 2018 12:08

How is it wirh AMS base? İs there a long waitinglist? Which base would you guys recommend to apply for while waiting for AMS base to come up?

Regards

There is no definite waiting list for AMS, just a regular bidding couple of times per year, based mainly on social criteria (house in the vicinity, relatives, language, etc).

Most of the dutch guys are commuting, look at the easyjet network from AMS. Italy a favourite, but super long list to get there (especially MXP with 5 daily ezy flights or so to AMS) as a Cpt.

captain.weird 29th June 2018 13:31

And lets say everything is in your favour, how long then to come up? When getting the upgrade, will there be again a basechange?

dirk85 29th June 2018 13:40

If you are FO you can have it straight away, if you are lucky. Also any other base, actually. I have no clear statistics, but a course mate or mine joined MXP straight away as FO and got a transfer to AMS in about one year, for example.
You can bid for a specific base for the upgrade once you have a certain amount of hours and time in the company, and when your name is on top of the list for that specific base, you go for the command, and if you pass it, you end up there. Or like most you can upgrade in LGW as soon as you have the requirements, and then wait to transfer as a Cpt wherever you want, also according to the waiting lists.
