Sure mine was 6minutes even though it said 10!

easyjet online assesment feedback??has anyone done this?FF
:*Has anyone completed the easyjet Quiz?FF
|
Just finished the tests - now some weeks of patience before they are done filtering - is there people who got a later date than the 7 May to complete this?
|
Slight thread drift, couldn't find this defined before but pjn has just had a bit of an update on the easyjet page and talks a lot about "factored" hours...
What are factored hours? And what is the factor? |
Non easyJet flying experience is factored to varying levels depending on if it is multi crew airline, fixed wing , rotary, military, single pilot etc.
If you PM what you background is, I can probably help.. |
Does somebody knows the factorizing of hours which is used by easyjet? It seems to be the case as ppjn reports.
|
Just completed all the tasks. Very hard work! I'm glad i've already got a jet job!
|
If it isn't a PFO for me they just lowered their standards...
It was more down to computer skills and lack of mouse, despite warnings... Surely EasyJet isn't an apple company hahaha good luck for who will go ahead you lost me in the competition for sure ;) |
gearupflapup
Don't be too hard on yourself, I am sure you did just fine. End of the day there is probably a benchmark to hit and you may have come inside it. I thought I did well on alot of the tests but one or two I didn't. I had a complete brain fart on the _ x _ x _ = 128 type maths questions which might throw me out too, but hey ho. Good luck to all. |
airbuske - check your pm's

Verbal reasoning......so difficult for a foreign guy.....
|
_ x _ x _ = 128 |
Ahahah good joke mate...
Unfortunately you had to choose different numbers:E |
64 x 2 x 1?
(Keep it simple and all that ... ;-) |
Can you get 128 from 3 numbers 1-9?
Also the harder ones where all 9x8x7 ... 8x7x6 ...7x6x5 etc etc |
Exactly...you had to choose numbers from 1 to 9...
Easy at first but with little time its fun:} |
aha - well that makes it more entertaining (and understandably somewhat irritating if under time pressure!)
|
For the numbers you can only use each number ONCE only. Makes it a little more fun, especially with the time constraint.
I found the tests largely enjoyable, especially (I know, I'm extremely weird) the multi tasking one. I think I'd pay to have a little app for that one to keep the old grey matter working as I approach 36. In fact the least fun was had doing the personality questionnaires, but I just TRIED to be honest, although that can be harder than it seems! Oh and the verbal reasoning. I think I only got half way through! Flying down the tunnel was extremely hard for me, until I got the knack of slowing down when the panic started to set in - a good analogue of 'letting others know when you are getting overloaded' I felt. The exercise with the gyro and the RBI flummoxed me for ages and I kept redoing the example until the penny dropped and I stumbled onto a 'system' that worked for me (I think. I hope!) Anyway, all the info is contained in the examples so I honestly doubt that anyone reading this thread will be much better off for it. Just make sure you UNDERSTAND the examples before you hit 'Let's go!' Enjoy, all! :ok: Edit: Big tip. Verbalise stuff out load as you are doing the exercises. I'm sure you'll soon catch my drift... |
Just finished the tests as well :ooh:
Think I did ok apart from the Verbal reasoning which was crazy short! And the maths don't think I did that great on that either as got a couple of wrong answers! Am I right in thinking that the Maths, Tunnel thing, Spatial orientation and multi tasking tests were all open ended? i.e. they didn't have a set number of questions you just kept gong for the allotted time? Anyways good luck to everyone |
Wow, I tought I had a lot of hours but if I have to deduct sim and single engine hours and factor the rest by 0.6 I barely make it to 1500. Well if it is for 2014 it will be no problem anymore.
|
You guys think the hr dept at eazy make this kind of calculation to choose the people for the interview?

Hours factorisation
http://www.pprune.org/terms-endearme...ml#post3093713
Don't know if it's still accurate but that's what I'm using. |
anybody else having problems trying to access the assessments today ?? just tried to complete the assessments and it keep's coming up on the test page saying - Technical Problem, unable to load content.
Have e-mailed them, awaiting a responce. |
Not sure I'm following this correctly.
There was no mention of factored hours on the easy jet application webpage yet on here and pjn they mention factored hours. Surely if factored hours where a consideration they would have shifted through and rejected all those who didn't meet the requirements, it's only pjn that's talking about FH. |
Just finished the test, as everybody said, highly enjoyable except verbal reasoning.
The verbal reasoning examples pretty easy but the actual test a pain. Maths ok not perfect but ok. All the best guys hope we all do well PS: no problems logging in todays, I think somebody mentioned some problems logging in. |
So what exactly does "Please complete the assessments at your earliest convenience and no later than 7th May." mean ya suppose? Doing this from overseas so I obviously I know they mean UK time/date, but does anyone know how LATE it's open? 5pm? midnight?
|
Just get it done by the 6th (today) then you simply cannot go wrong :ok:
|
Any of you actually managed to finish that verbal reasoning bunch of questions?
|
John Smith, I applied, like many others, to see exactly what will be on offer if I prove to be successful.
For a major UK company to accept Non TR'd applicants is a step in the right direction. However, I believe there has been pressure from above (CAA, BALPA, government) regarding the current use of flexicrew as the situation becomes more public. (Some may suggest "pressure from below" more apt). Merely speculation on my behalf. But this recruitment drive is still geared towards taking flexicrew from CTC before any other applicants. Albeit with a permanent position (2yr contract) and the perks(haha) that go with it in exchange for less pay - flexicrew in sheep's clothing. It would have to be nice offer for me to leave my jet command position overseas (bonded type rating). |
Earlies and Lates: What sort of report times are we talking here? I'm guessing 12 hour day is the norm?
|
Fantastic response Ecam. I don't know your background or your current position but you speak with obvious authority on the current situation. Yes, if what you say is correct, my allusions have certainly been adjusted.
It will be very interesting to see what the outcome of my application will be and whether any flexibility exists in the funding of type ratings. The route to command is also very interesting. Using your insight, when are candidates expected to hear from easy about the next stage of recruitment? |
EcamSuprise, how to become a SFO within Easy on European contract?
A matter of hours or something else? |
Some information
Finished online tests yesterday as well....
About the flexicrew stuff: is it like brookfield for RYR pilots? You are a contractor and basically they can do with you what they want and you don t have any rights like the permanent-contract-crew? bases: Do they propose you a base during interview? Because I can imagine as Ecamsurprise says; if SFO positions are faster in Germany and France, everybody wants to go there! TPR: is there any change that one would negotiate a bond?? |
One comment about command. Once you get it, expect to be shipped away from your base of choice to LGW :{ Then a long wait follows as the waiting lists for continental bases are very long and the company seems to be head over heels in love with LGW and want to put as many planes as possible in there. Summer of 2013 has 58 airframes in LGW.

With Euro transfer being a hot topic, does anyone know if you can go across to the Swiss operation at any stage once through the door.
Quite fancy living near the mountains again... |
MXP is also good for the mountains, and not far from the Swiss border. UK AOC to Swiss AOC transfers are not impossible but take much (years) longer than transfers within the UK AOC.
|
this is now 5454 on Italy |
That I don't know. Deal's still being thrashed out as far as I know. (Note, I don't work for eJ, but the other half does.) Apparently there's some devil in the detail in the small print..
|
Transferring to EZS is pretty straight forward. Transferring back is like putting a 70 year old Nun and Boy George in a room at a sexy party - it ain't happening.
