Mental math's, you are given ROD and you just need to calculate distance needed to descend at the rate provided. FYI this is for the capacity test taken at Waterside

Hi all,
I’ve passed the video interview. Now I have to book the crew capacity test. I can only see 1 Dec as available date. Do I have to attend or can I reschedule. Due to my roster, I cannot attend on 1st.
Also, I understood from the thread and online info meeting as this is a whole day aptitude test on pc. If I pass this, will I get an invitation for group excercise, right?
Finally, I’ve read about practise tools such as the SkyTest. Does anyone have any other suggestion? Like pilotaptitudetest.com? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Raph 737,the problem is not confined to this thread but also to the Academy application for 60-70 aspiring pilots.

if you’re rated on type they get you in quite quickly, non type rated is around 3-4 months due to training capacity issues I believe.

Congratulations!
A question to you and/or anyone who has passed the sim. Do they tell you over the call/email that you were considered suitable for long-haul in your sim assessment or they don’t mention it?
I have asked one recruiter who said they are making long haul offers to some people who applied to 320, as they were considered suitable.
You can turn down one call for a course, easier to decide if you know where you stand, interested to know if they shared that info.
Any thoughts?

Raph, there is a suitability for long haul commensurate with your total hours circa 1500.
You should receive result between two to seven days dependent on the day of the week you are in the sim.
Remember your date of joining is forever and you will always be senior to the person whose date of joining is later than yours..
Especially when they are planning on uptake of 300 next year.

Right, I was under the impression that even with the hours they would look at certain aspects of your ability in order to decide that. I’m over that hours threshold on type and have been offered Long-haul elsewhere. So in all honesty, I’m going through the process but looking only to take a long-haul offer should I be successful(it’s what I applied for anyway). Asking because there was a note saying that albeit you were applying for the long-haul fleet, their main recruitment feed was into A320, and should there not be vacancies at that time, you would be offered that. The issue is, to fly short-haul I might as-well stay where I am as the money is the same, and I fly less hours.
Many thanks for your input.
