I’d like to know as well.
Are they actually offering it or just using it to tempt people?

in the UK anyway nobody has been offered since it was advertised since last year.

was a lot of talk about the details and it’s a very big pay cut for very little drop in productivity.

in UK 14/14 will translate very likely into 6 days on 2 rest days 6 days on 14 days off with a 50% cut in your salary while you will be doing 70 hours a month, not appealing at all.

all those who were interested have been completely put off i think they know it’s a **** deal but it’s good on the recruitment flyer to say hey look we offer “part time”.

tbh having worked for wizz and will end up leaving this is not a desirable place to work. I can elaborate further if anyone is interested.

well to keep the story/advice short and sweet I would no recommend leaving your current employer to join wizzair in particular the UK unless you are a cadet.

if you are a cadet striaght from flight school or very little flying experience, flying something small with not many hours then yes apply for wizz get as many hours in 2 years like everyone does and then shift on the BA/VS or J2 if you want to live up north.

if you have significant jet/airline experience then I really wouldn’t recommend coming to this airline. Every year the attrition rate is 30% which is incredibly high. But it’s like that for a reason. The rosters are completely unstable and constantly changing for extremely early starts which can report from 4am so imagine what time you need to get up and prepare to finishing after 2:30AM without a delay. They will schedule these duties with little to no regard of human that is performing them.

chronically understaffed with both crew and office staff which makes communication and getting an email response a massive chore.

motivation is very low both in cabin and flight deck much of the discussion is which airline are you moving too and how terrible is your roster.

Unfortunately or fortunately it was not like this or as bad pre covid, it was much more pleasant and bearable.

but unfortunately this is all being lead from the very top and until the CEO gets fired nothing is likely to change. Which is surprising actually because if you look at the financial performance of the company it’s quite poor higher debt levels that Easy or Ryan and and no assets to leverage themselves, just a cash bucket that if it runs low or out the show is over.

if you are looking for a quick command go to the many other airlines in the UK nowhere has a long command time now just save your self the mess of joining a new company just to update your CV 6 months in and getting back on the job hunt.

MCT Set has been accurate but more generous than I would be with their words of my former employer. In the current job market avoid Wizz if you want any stability. Best thing I did was leave.
Attrition rate wise for my course that ran into double figures of all experience levels, it was closer to 65% per year.

The sad reality is that as a 320 rated DEC there are not a lot of options, if you want to remain in Europe. easyJet could be one, but they have not hired a lot of DEC in the last few years

Good point, that's part of the business model that it's a good place to start, a nice type rating, and good progression... then you might realise you've got four stripes, you're on not bad money, it's paying the mortgage... just a shame I'm on a 6/3 roster of unsociable hours working for a company that routinely breaks employment law and there's nothing I can do about it because if anyone mentions the 'U' word they get sacked.

Find the right ladder to climb folks.

Don’t think it will be long before a union is representing folks at Wizz U.K. Quite a few have signed up I believe.

5/4 roster most of the year, car leasing and cycle to work scheme is imminent.

Anything imminent in your favour, generally does not arrive. Anything in the company’s favour, is implemented without your awareness followed by the classic email “thank you for your understanding”. As Erasure said, I love to hate you Wizz 🙂
