Can anyone give me an idea of the expected average monthly take home pay for a senior first officer Wizz UK after the A320 bond repayments? How much is the monthly bond and is it taken before or after tax? Thanks.

Passport requirements

Good Afternoon guys

My daughter is interested in the Wizz Air pilot cadet scheme.
Do you need a European passport for this, or will a British passport suffice.

Many Thanx

To the best of my knowledge, the Wizz Air cadet pilot scheme has not been extended to the UK yet, so a European passport would be needed, with the expectation of a job offer in Europe. That saind, Leading Edge and, I think, Skyborne, run ab-inito courses where suitable trainee pilots are tagged by Wizz Air for a likely job offer after training.

Was talking to a Wizz FO very recently. He has mates in easy who ask him when he is going to join them. The answer was that the pay is better at Wizz Air, so he's not going to. Apparently you have to look at sector pay which, at Wizz Air, you get as soon as you finish training, when you don't with all airlines. Sorry I can't give more detail.

You can apply for a fixed roster once you finish line training. Until then you'll be on a random roster. But three times a year you get the chance to move to a fixed roster, 5 on, 4 off.

And what's the likelihood of actually getting that roster when you apply?

Just keep in mind that day 1 of the 4 days off is actually a rest day, i.e. you could be landing at 2 a.m. and it'd still count as a day off. More often than not that's what I get - very late finish on day 5 and very early start on day 1. Technically speaking you do get 2 full days off. On day 4 you'll go to sleep at 7 p.m. ready for your 2.30 a.m. wake-up call. I'm not saying it doesn't work, just be prepared, that's it.

Depends on the base I guess... I request a single type of duties and get my preference 90% of the time

Hello everyone,

I have an EASA license and am applying to wizzair for non-type rated FO.

I need to choose between Malta and Hungary.
Any advice?

Thanks

Captain salary

Did Wizz Air increase captain salaries recently? Does Wizz Air consider previous experience as a captain for salary steps? If I have 3000 PIC hours, do I get the lowest basic salary?

Do you know if they still offer extra money for SKP if you survive there for 3 years?

You start at the bottom. Some bases have a retention bonus.

Nope, they did not.
Plain and simple.
Same stuff, lowest wages in EU for a LCC.

Yes, they did, but not in every country.
Nope.
Yes.
No idea.

In Italy? Might be, but AFAIK Volotea pays less.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any recent information or experience with the Wizz Air Abu Dhabi Direct Entry Program or the Fast Track to Command option?

I’m currently a First Officer with over 6,000 hours on the A320

thanks !

They have over 30-35 First Officers waiting to upgrade. There's nothing fast happening down there.

Bit of a change of their fleet expansion plan announced today with the FY24 results:
"...the fleet is now forecast to grow from 231 aircraft as at the end of March 2025 to 305 aircraft as at end March 2028; this compares to the previous forecast of 380 aircraft at that end date."
