RAF, 10 yrs, LHS C-130, £2300, a cheap house and a smart salute from the SWO every morning.

There's lots of bull****, that uniform and the training system made me cry a lot (well nearly). Still, wife's American. Gizza job Delta!

Sorry to come in late guys but have just done 9 days on duty with only one off - and not a computer in sight. Any way here goes -
BA 757/767 Captain 14 years in BA (24 years in industry) 740 hrs this year took home in November pay packet £4700. That was a good month - previous month £4200.

PS Capt Pprune please don't edit these figures they all want to know. I am not worried who knows.......

DEAR FELLOW PILOTS;

just got off probation 2 months ago with SOUTHWEST AIRLINES (B737 FO) and last month (Oct)incl. per diem I made 9000USD BEFORE tax. Still yet to see how much Uncle Sam wants of that.... It was a good month since I picked up extra trips on my days off and flew a total of 97 hours. As a reserve pilot here, you have on average 15 days off, and you can pick up as much as you want.

1600 Can $ per month minus 20% tax.
No benefits, days off when strong IFR, flying 206, B-18. And I have to battle strongly for this sh!tty pitty.

Lots of wanabee pilots in Canada are very good to shoot themself on the foot. By accepting flying jobs almost for free and lets everybody else (including them), crying afterward for low paid.

Anyways,
I'm right in the move for geodesics survey, starting at 3000 Can $ and quickly raising to 3750/4500 Can $ depending contract location. Again, minus those 20% tax.

Huh! and guess what, the dumb who took my place accepted......16(sixteen!) Canadian box each flying hour and nothing for ferry /training.

Interesting that a BA 744 SFO makes as much as a Captain on 75/76 fleet. When I transfer to 777 in FEB I might just refresh this thread with an update on the difference between longhaul and shorthaul.......
