The pilot who was suspended from flight duties on Wednesday has been summarily dismissed in view of his intolerable behaviour. Swiss European is also expressly reserving the right to take legal action against the SPA committee members responsible and any further persons involved.
SWISS Corporate Communications

Moreover, this press release is also shows that, Swiss is trying to take the attention to the different points in order to hide something behind! They act like this referendum and CLA was kind of favour for Swiss European Pilots! In fact Swiss can not afford to operate under the individual contracts.
This time I just hope SAP pilots will not bite this cheap bait!
Remember how Swiss was relieved and happy to announce the CLA was accepted. Now they sing in a different tone!
Attention Please!

The guys in the Ewiges Wegli must be laughing themselves silly at this latest development, as are most probably all non-Swiss pilots reading this thread.
The 'Pilotinos' have brought it upon themselves.
It's just another chapter in the miserable history of civil aviation in Switzerland over the past 10 years...

Many hostile merged airlines always keep two instructors in the sim to avoid such "artificial" situations mainly driven by political aspects.
I don't know what kind of work you do, but if you are not in airline business I rather reînvent the wheel instead of telling you what airline business is.

Kabooom,
.
I still have the intelligence and dignity not to work for such miserable and corrupted company like Swiss.
But this will not change the fact and my opinion about Swiss.
.
However I guess you should apply to Swiss HR or Communication department. Your writing technique and your opinion would really match them. You would even have a great career!
When I see your post count and your sudden appearence on this but only on this forum with some remarkable affiliations it's not hard to guess what aviation part you might be working for.
.
.
I am just guessing

To all Kabooms and Winglets and other whiners:
GET OVER IT!!! What happened to Swiss civil aviation happened, and cannot be undone. Your pathetic and miserable speculations about who did what to whom and when are not only totally irrelevant to the thread, they are also the sad ramblings of embittered stay-behinds.
Having worked for most every Swiss operator who ever went broke, I know precisely where all of you are coming from. I turned the page when the dust was not yet settled, and it's high time that you did too...
The thread subject ist actually quite interesting: what could have motivated 2 individuals, professionals in their own right, to falsify the result of a vote on a collective contract. A fascinating human interest story if nothing else...
PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE stop the dick-measuring contest of ex-Swissair and ex-Crossair. It just annoys the Swiss pilots who actually respect themselves, and cheaply amuses those who watch from the outside.
As an aside, I was SLF today on LX 1325 MOW-ZRH. Nice flight, on time, professional service by everyone involved. However, when chatting with Cabin Chief about old times, he started complaining (loudly!!) about the company, this in front of about a dozen business class passengers. Sad.
For God's sakes get some pride back you guys!!!

FlyMD,
In contrary, your Cabin Chief in your flight today showed a very good example of "pride". He made a professional service like everybody else in Swiss, but at least he had the pride and dignity to speak up what is not correct and what is happening!
You may argue if it is professional to discuss in front of passengers!
However, half of the world know already about Swiss if they wouldn't realise with the minimum cabin crew concept, and its black stain and shadow to Swiss Civil aviation!
Speaking up seems to be taboo in Switzerland and often mixed with leak of "professionalism" and "pride".

Yeap I'm sorry but Kaboom was a bit off track about SR-LX relationship faking not understanding the terms "artificially failed", reason why I've posted some specifics about MD80 fleet discrimination.
The theme was about SPA. Too bad for my collegues, but a "smart move" for the company. That's why Frick was stoned on the TSR 19:30 news by the reaction of Swiss management. Swiss jumped on the opportunity! SPA spent a lot of effort and money for mere results other the years but at least they've tried.
Walking away from Swiss European with pride is quite hard when you have to run a familly, mainly because of the size of the aviation market in Switzerland. It takes courage to go over, turn the page and start something new (in Colorado for us) but it's worth. And for the others waiting revenge I wish that competitors will be able to catch the bouncing ball of hangar. GVA did good and will continue, taking more traffic over "The unique". If you can't fight inside the house (well known by your "ennemies") then fight outside on a more neutral ground.
We've built Crossair with our sweat and pride and the only legal representation (SPA) of what was LX is almost dead. But if you want me to rebuild something similar to LX with his friendly atmosphere and a motivated team I will because it was a extremely joyfull experience.
Besides looks like cabin crew are also complaining...

THANK FLYMD!
I was about to say it. Some guys (I'm not gonna say what I'm thinking about them...) never get over it! Instead of talking about the topic (yes, THERE IS ONE!), it's always about Swissair/Crossair.
Come on guys!

And some people still protecting Swiss!
I wonder why!
Because they have no other choice or capability to fine something else or
they get enough benefit and brownies on the cost of the others who mainly complain here?
I was just thinking laud

Two Swiss Pilots (SPA) Board members manipulate CLA vote results
One question though, was it really the first time that the union's top shots cheated???
I sincerely doubt it

4F4 check this,
Apparently, these two union tops were surprisingly re-elected couple of years ago although they had no chance to be re-elected!
.
One of them was highly involved with the flight duty regulations negotiations. Swiss tried to change the previous FDR, which was containing many goodies and inherited from LX time, this top person spend big time hand in hand with Swiss management to persuade the members to accept the degraded FDR.
Against all the odds, the FDR passed.
If this is true it may answer your question: was it really the first time that the union's top shots cheated???
