I would suggest the user has been deleted by the system when they changed their contact details, if you do not respond to email pprune server sends you within the specified period, the system will remove you. Done for your protection, to verify the changes are valid.

For the record, Excel Aviation contacted TCD in November 2001 when it was appearent that ATA were no longer interested in their charter business. Excel Aviation put forward EAAC to perform the TCD programme and indeed had several meetings with Willie O'Neal and the MD of TCD. Unfortunately, Excel were cut out of the deal by EAAC who then went direct to TCD - FACT.
This is how the aviation business works. There were no hard feelings between Excel, EAAC and TCD.
That is the background.
Excel Aviation contracted and signed three B733 a/c from EAAC to perform a flying program this summer. 1 xNCL, 1 x STN, 1x MAN. The contract was countersigned by EAC and then not performed.
Excel Aviation is still seeking to cover one-third of this flying and has had to contract alternative, larger aircraft than originally needed, therefore my view is that Excel has been let down by EAAC.
As far as the TCD business is concerned, Excel were approached by TCD to cover the SFB program due to the uncertainty regarding EAAC's refinancing which has been ongoing for over 12 months. At no time did Excel try and poach this business from EAAC.
These are the facts, unpalatable as they may be to some EAAC staff.

European were great to work for, the work ethic and fun ethic were foremost amongst the flight crew (Tech & Cabin). Unfortunately the management were without doubt the worst on the planet. No one should blame anyone other than EAAC management for this unfortunate episode.

Firstly commiserations to all those involved. Like many others been there and know how it feels.... Its a commercial world, and if anyone has sunk EAL its TCD....
Along with everyone else on here shining a light down the dark tunnel, can let you know that there are many cabin crew positioins for all ranks going at XLA.

The downfall on EA is on the head of one man P.S.
Over expanding, without the cash to back up the running costs and allowing to many eggs to rest in one basket.
Also please don't blame the Bath group or TCD. When the depth of the company, it's prospects and what they were being asked to invest in became apparant. It wasn't worth the money.
If only they had aquired some 733's instead of 742's and concentrated on the ad-hoc short haul market, they would have been great little company, making a reasonable profit.
What's the point of allowing your ego to be swelled by the fact you own (via finance) some jumbo jets, when they spend to much time on the ground erroding your cash flow.

From what I saw on a local (Au) news site, he doesn't even have the money for that.
It was sudgested he had approached Quantas regarding the project. With them providing the market and working capital and him the plane, pilots and an arms lenght company to get over certain local issues.
Looked like P.S. grapsing at straws to me ..

The European "group" was set up in 1989 (when it purchased some ex-Australian Air Force 1-11's).
However, European Aviation Air Charter [EAAC], was formed in 1993 to operate the ex-BA 1-11's it has previously been looking after onbehalf of BA.
Other aircraft seen in full EAL/EAF colours, but never entered service are a Boeing 727 (on the Czech register), two Airbus A300 and even an ex-RAF fighter, the type of which eludes me right now (but I know someone will tell me )

Its my understanding that they are down sizing and not shutting shop, to drop the B742 ops but retain the 73's.

Was wondering did anyone recieve there letter today from the company as mine never came in the post and along with prob everyone else who worked for European i would like to know whats happening and if we are going to get any kind of wage or payment this month

You need to phone HR they we tell you we are redundant!
As for getting paid- don't hold your breath, i was under the impression we have to get paid if the company is operational, which it is

seems a skeleton staff are in place down in BOH and PS has gone to Malaysia....gather theres a meeting tomorrow to discuss 747 options

FLY_146, yep heard that about the 146s', but if you have 737-200s sitting around on the ramp in BOH that your company (Banks?) already own, then why not get them out of reach down under. Guess P.S missed the boat on the Ansett 737-300s?
