Virgin Galactic combo airborne from Spaceport America, which is pretty much Truth or Consequences, NM and a little west of the White Sands range... Currently around 32000', no idea how high they go before the drop, can't be all that much higher.
Edit: 40000'... nearly...
Ah, first commercial flight, research for Italian AF.

...down safely!
NASA U-2 airborne from Palmdale as well, 60,000', heading east NW of Kingman AZ.

An-26 just droned overhead (Cumbria), from Luxembourg, roughly NW, FL140. Presumably Cavok Air, but as the weather's completely un-CAVOK I'll never know.

B-17 out for a ramble down to Headcorn, on her way back to Duxford now. Looks like a display there.
Not too sure where to put this :- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-66030501

Your pictures on the theme of 'aviation' Some great photos
A Lone Ranger?
There’s an RAF tanker ZZ335 quietly working its way westward around the world currently in Thailand (Surat Thani since you ask ).
In my day when RAF Lyneham was king and Brittanias and Comets ruled the skies we called such a trip a “ Lone Ranger” such exitement, recrystallising all the radios for a west about trip, aircrew with their posh KD’s and all and sundry bits the captain thought essential, my we had such fun.
my question, are they still called Lone Rangers. Just askin for a friend

Well that was a surprise - ex-Army Lynx XZ179/G-NCKS has just whapped over here...
My old "mil" log tells me I originally saw it at Farnborough '78...

It's the Lanc - two ADSB thingies aboard. Probably could have seen a few mins ago if I'd been quicker, it was following the M25 east past M23 junction.
Three US Army CH-47s inbound Northolt, first nearly there, two more spread out across about 50 miles!
Sparrows transiting sarf across West Sussex towards Worthing... now east towards Haywards 'Eath.
...and I'm about to get a visit from a C-5M - it's all happening, man!

I wasn't going to mention it, but last Friday we had a Typhoon zipping about over salisbury plain above the low cloud around Warminster/Devizes etc. Then out of the cloud the noise increased and it appeared and flew over the house down the A36 transit route towards Shrewton way. Great to see and not its natural habitat(?) not be to seen or heard again.
"Formation" from Iceland
An apparent formation of light aircraft coming in to UK from Iceland-ish.
The 182 is reporting quite a bit faster than the others.

Looks like normal ops now, though several on approach have orbited outside the usual holds, maybe toasted brakes or something?
Perhaps connected, or not, but I received an alert 2 hrs ago approx and there was an EasyJet A321 landing at LGW after having departed only 5mins or so before.

WC-135R "Constant Phoenix" inbound Mildenhall from Cyprus, currently abeam Dijon. Prob overfly London in about 40 mins I should think.
Edit: very nice, straight over the top, even found a gap in the clouds! My dusty tome of military "pots" says I saw it somewhere sometime when it was presumably a straight tanker but the exact date/location is missing - probably a Mildenhall Air Fete...
