Just after 9pm yesterday sleepy Somerset and west Wilts evening peace disturbed by a USAF B-1 climbing through 6000 ft heading SW out of Brize. No destinatation shown on FR24 but LOTS of noise. Related? two KC 135s at in the mid 200 flight levels same time same track, .

RAF C17s, A400 and c130s and Voyagers a common sight/sound so the B-1 really stood out.

A Lufthansa A380 went past in the sunshine this afternoon on it's way to Boston, nice to see another operator bringing them back into service, especially as they have plenty of life left in them.

They are indeed at Fairford.

AN-26 droned over a while ago, first for a while! KC-135 a bit earlier, coyly slipping through the evening haze...

I saw some coverage about the B Ones and that two departed late evening. FR24 tho just showed on aircraft and BZZ as the origin which i thought looked ok. Great noise though and if it was two B1s that wd likely explain the two much higher KC135s on the same heading-they presumelably did come from Mildenhall

A USAF C17 just gone into LHR. Not unheard of, but not so often either.

Two Pitts Specials and one of they Spitfire replica thingies here in deepest darkest Suffolk. The former David Gilmour Harvard has also just flown past within what I'd have thought was earshot but not even a hint of a blatter. Must be a very considerate driver at the helm.

Edit: Spitfire has just gone back this time showing ADSB, it's that rather nice Isaacs Spitfire finished as a Mk XIV.

...and also one of those secretive USAF C-32B's, an all-white B757-200 totally devoid of any markings, save a tiny US flag

Talking of BHX, an interesting hold in progress

https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=407241

Evening Emirates arrival also done several laps of Wolverhampton now, and a few aircraft sat at the end of the runway for half an hour, thanks to a large thunderstorm directly over the airport, moving slowly north. Ryanair jet escaped just before it arrived with a hard left turn directly after clearing the airfield!

Exciting stuff...

Edit: looks like the Emirates flight has diverted to Manchester

One of the carriers went the other way a week or two back, Gerald Ford, or Ronald Regan if I remember, SH-60s noted running interference along the Channel and a pair Greyhounds running errands in and out of Prestwick...
