Hi Alpha,
I suggest go to Chennai. |
If you want a job, be ready to go to any place.
Since they called you to chennai..Go there... If you are not very keen on getting a job, go to mumbai, any other center and be ready to not be able to give the exam.... |
i got chennai as well... i had applied for mumbai. i asked hr but they said its full which i dont beleive...cause many people have applied more than once...
especially those who went to get their ir renewed..... because of them we have to suffer the loss....im sure there is gonna be seats vacant at mumbai...but cant take the risk...they might not let us sit for the exam. ALL THE BEST GUYS..! hope to see everyone on this forum flying high soon..! |
ALL D BST Evry1 appearing for Jet Airways !!! :ok:
|
Mumbai / Chennai
all guys who had applied for Mumbai, and have received center as Chennai, have been admitted to Dahanukar College (nxt to sathye college), Mumbai...
|
hey how sure are you on this? cause we have not received any letter or call. is there someone we can contact.
|
sorry, i dont know whom to contact, but a vry good frnd whose roll no was 19XX initially had got chennai, and today mumbai for the same roll no.
shortage of classrooms has been solved by adding one more college apart frm sathey,,,ie dahanukar college |
help please
an aircraft on hdg 124(T) measures qdr of VOR to be 303.If deviation on this hdg is 2 degree E and Variation is 1 degree W.What is QUJ? a radio station on ground bears 312(relative) at aircraft flying on heading 058 (M).If var is 1 deg E and dev is 2 deg W, calculate QDM and QTE also is someone could please explain the answers. |
qdr=303deg
hence qdm=123deg var=1degw or -1deg quj=qdm-1 (converting mag to true) =123-1 =122deg. rb=312deg hdg(M)=058deg qdm=010deg. hence, qdr=190deg. var=1deg(E) or +1deg qte=qdr+1 =191deg. quj=qdm+1 =011deg. in both the numericals dev is given but since we are not converting any variable to compass hence it can be ignored. |
wen will the results be announced???
|
after they are done with checking the answer sheets...:rolleyes::E
|
2 weeks i think.....
|
how was the exam ? how many paper ?
|
total 5 papers ......not tht e.c........3 mental ability and rest 2 from nav , met , regs , technical etc... combined
|
delhi attempt 1st paper was technical, time limit 50 minits, from 1100 hrs to 1150hrs...entry started 1105hrs, entered in classroom 1113hrs then filled name and other details, read the instructions, and started paper at 1125hrs, got only 25min. to attempt...totally unfair
paper no.4 screwed my mind up |
unlike in the letter, cx2/ calculators were allowed! but there wasnt a requirement though as there weren't any complex sums.
on the whole, cooperative supervisors though. but time keeping was lax. |
Hey all,
How was the exam compared to last time?? How do the guys rate it with rest to the Aug attempt?? Was it easy or Tough. Also this my first attempt and I found it tough especially the folding images time consuming... |
@cobracommander
what are you talking about man , calculators/cx2 were not allowed where i sat |
Jet Exam Delhi
CX2/CALC were not allowed though i saw it lying on one person desk.
Due to late entry many were left short on time for the first[technical ] paper.I saved my A** in this one. Paper 4 was mind boggling and gave me a shock...just attempted 12-15 q's. |
Paper 4 really was time consuming, as all sorts of shapes you could possibly imagine came, not just the simple cubes. The marking scheme is another problem, 1 negative mark compared to 1/4 in the others.
|
in my center, only flight calculator was allowed
i attempted 17 in paper 4,,,,,, |
well it definitely was allowed,infact the lady supervising my room(mumbai) announced before the test that unlike the letter,Jet has decided to allow the use of calc and cx2. When some panicked about not having one, they decided to let people use their cellphones for calculations purpose ( smart ! :D)
as such there wasnt any particular use of cx2, but a calculator came in handy 4 two sums(simple though) but whoever got to use their phones for only god knows what, are at an advantage for sure! |
well said..!!! :)
|
@ Shabez
:D good night!!
|
allright guys..maybe this post is too late for the exams...or maybe too early for the upcoming ones..
but i need to know this.. can anyone genuinely suggest a book (other than 'OXFORD' please) for technical (hydraulics, pressurization, l. gear, electricals, pneumatic) and performance stuff cuz ive tried..but oxford is just way too much .. :confused: P.S. this is in context to both jet airways and indigo exams |
tentative dates
those who have been given a direct entry pass for the GDs,when are your dates for your rounds?
Have any of you received any call/ letters from Jet regarding this mentioning the centre,areas for preparation etc.? Kindly provide some info. |
@mike sierra
firstly dont give indigo exam....its rigged.
other books you can refer to are. ground up. handbook of aeronautical knowledge. |
any1 got date for re-gd???

Jet questions
I know many of you here might dismiss my discussion of the questions that were asked in the written exams for jet, i completely agree and i was one of the people who said i dont want to discuss the questions when i got out of the exam center and that i would get through the exams if i did well irrespective what we discuss.:rolleyes:
however, it is also true that curiosity always gets to us, we obviously want to know what are the area of our weaknesses and what the topics we should concentrate more on if, god forbid we flunk this exam or dont make it through any of the consequent rounds or infact even for the preps for the interview rounds.:O all this being said, can anybody please answer the following few questions ?:E 1. the pressure valve incharge of the opening of the under carriage and the sequential movement of the landing gear . a. sequence valve b. shuttle valve (dont remember the other options):confused: 2. Anybody that rotates about its own axis is called a a. microscope b.telescope c.gyroscope d.none of the above (gyroscope seems to be the answer but the definition is not completely correct, so it could as well be none of the above?) 3. what is longitudinal dihedral 4. what is the significance of CLmax thanks in advance:ok: cheers, P |
i have couple of friends who attempted it..who were sure of clearing but didnt...but they didnt get through...the exam is set very easy....waste of 376$
itl be the biggest regret of ur life..! |
@puneeth
Q1. a) sequence valve(100% sure) Q2. i marked gyroscope in this Q3. i forgot wht i marked in dis one Q4. airplane can fly slow |
WAT ARE D CORRECT ANSWERS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
1. Ceiling fan is wat kind of gyro?? 2. Variation at the equator is ....?? 3. a/c lights mandatory-30 mins aftr sunrise n 30 mins prior sunset. |
Results
Guys Please enlighten me....
how are the exam results given to us... how long is it gonno be..for the results to come out does everyone get a result or only those pass the exam... ty |
hey as far as i can remember the ques which was asked was about " dihedral" (without mentioning wing dihedral or longitudinal dihedral)........and one of the option was that longitudinal dihedral gives stability around longitudinal axis (which is wrong coz it gives longitudinal stability ) and according to me the correct option was which said dihedral is mainly used to increase lateral stability (which is the case with wing dihedral)......
and ceiling fan should be an earth gyro coz its spin axis is maintained by gravity. (though i myself marked tied gyro:ugh::ugh::ugh:) plz correct me if i am wrong |
i think it was lateral axis and the earh gyro and tied gyro werent even the options ...the answer was vertical gyro
|
what about aircraft lights regulations?
|
Longitudinal Dihedral Angle is the angle between the Chords of the Main wing and the tailplane, So it's the longitudinal stablity..
|
@Puneeth
Longitudinal Dihedral is the acute angle made between Chord of the 'main plane' and chord of the 'tail plane'
Regards, Roshan Poojary |
I would have though a ceiling fan would be a horizontally mounted gyro spinning around its vertical axis.
