I think SG didn't exactly know when DGCA said that the requirement for being a pilot is to have a basic knowledge of Mathematics and Science...they never meant that at any point of time a pilot will be required to calculate the area or circumference of a circle....or finding an obtuse angle.....
(just to let others know that I'm not saying that pilots do not know answer to these)

But wats the use of putting up these kindda questions in a pilot recruitment test??

What exactly were the questions that aren't related to aviation? Not to take the piss or anything, but just curious cause it seems like a lot of guys who are annoyed that recruitment processes are a bit tricky.

Elaborate, fellas.

Don't say you weren't warned about this. Was very evident from the start that this exam is being run by HR conjobs. Pathetic excuse of an airline.

Unhappy @ i dont know who

So if just 18 were selected (not sure how true the numbers are or on what basis they were selected, do comment if anybody knows either)
they dont even need have the process of interviews ? Super!

the only reason i dont want to believe this was a "money making scam" is simply because of the fact that they would hardly make about 60 - 70 lac with the process and that's not even sufficient for anything to run an airline.

I mean if its really a "money making scam" they'd rather invite all the 5k unemployed pilots?
you cnt even run 2 aircrafts for a day with 60-70 lac !

I may be wrong, feel free to comment

The great circle track from A to B measures 227°T at A and 225 T at B. What is the convergency of the meridians through A and B and in which hemisphere are they?

I got the convergency part but dont know how to find out about the hemisphere

Ans to Above Question: Northern Hemisphere

(Draw a little Diagram) When you go from A to B, If it is a Northern Hemisphere, GC Track decreases in number & If it is a Southern Hemisphere, GC track increases in number. So, following this rule, In the example, GC track A to B at A is 227 & GC track A to B at B is 225, thus It is decreasing, so It is a Northern Hemisphere.

@puneeth

If somebody was giving you 60-70 Lakh ruppees even though you were running a business which floats in thousands of crores you would still take it right? 60-70 L would take care of a certain part of their ground staff. Also, you don't have to pay taxes for this 60-70 L that has been earned.

Personally, I really wish I could say the last exam conducted by SJ wasn't a money making scam but it actually is. The exam conducted in March wasn't a money making scam though as the paper was within the aviation boundaries of a pilot and they also seem to have recruited about 70 odd people. With the paper they gave in June, was utter cr*p.
