@FLYINGW...I applied for it approximaately 3 months back....I sent 2 separate resumes for Q400 and B737....They dint call for the 1st round,,,however, this time they did.

But I am 2 much biased over appearing in this exam and selling out 20,000rs. If one clears written...do they charge another 50000rs for the sim test?

Any idea how many ppl cleared the written exam last time in march????????

WTF? We need to pay for the sim also? and that too 50 000? Ohh my goodness, I didnt know this till now...thank god I didnt attend this crap. Looks like Spice jet is busy making money from the desperate unemployed pilots and could get enough to buy a q400.. so how many are going to spend 70 000 till the sims and do they cost for the interview also?

Man these low cost airlines are virus to the industry, Spicejet in india, Ryanair in Europe, lion air down in SE asia and I am sure more to come.......

@Aviator4u buddy we all would be grateful if you share the experience with us about Spicejet:

Q1. For how many days Spicejet conducted the exam; is it only one day or are there some other days as well like indigo...

One day Interview for written and over a period of 8 business days not including Sat and Sun, around a total of 99 people were called for second round interview.

Q2. what did you personally feel about the exam was it tough to crack and how what would you comment about people saying its all rigged...

Negative. Exam was dead easy, Interview selections are rigged to most extent. Mostly the first and second batch. Connections, whatsoever is required. Batches after the second, not necessarily rigged. Most who top scored got in. Scores from both rounds were added.

Q3. How do they inform or intimate (is it through a phone call or e-mail) once someone clears the written and how long do they take to announce the results...

After they take your 20,000 rupees and you do the first round, the whole phone call or email is just plain BS! and Ridiculously unprofessional. No one is intimidated whether they cleared the first round or not. People who made it through the second round were given a phone call, no email confirmations. After second round, you are left hanging and hanging and hanging to what happened to your selections. In fact there are people who are cleared do not know when they will be asked to sign papers. It has been over 3 months. You can call, email, show up in HR office but NO ONE including Mahantesh will tell you your status. HR and Flight Ops were on complete non-agreement terms about who had the final list of selections.

Q4. Do we have to pay for type rating or will company sponsor it...

You will have to pay. 10 Lakhs initially and 10 Lakhs from your salary will be deducted over 5 years for a Q400 rating which cost 21,000 Canadian Dollars approx from Flight Safety itself.

Q5. How long is the training for...and where is it...do they pay during the training...

10 days ground classes or 2 weeks, then 1 month Toronto Flight Safety Academy Training and then back for more ground classes.

Q6. Do they have any ground training like others and if they do how long is it for....

1 month +

The First Q400 is delayed. Reasons - lol - there could be many

Spicejet Pilots themselves say that the HR is the worst place to talk in the entire company about your Queries. Non-responsive and unethical. Their last HR boss was fired who was Mahantesh's Boss for Jugaad and Money Laundering and Rigged Selections Results for Second Round.

I cleared both and rejected their offer. Based on many criteria which I would keep my cards close to my self. I have got hired by a better international airline. No Regrets.

See ya

Thumbs down @cpl_holder_india

You sent me a PM

hi
hey...i saw ur post in spicejet forum...you said you have been hired by an intl airline...are you talking about lion air?

---- Do I anywhere indicate that I have joined Lion Air. Is Lion Air the only International airline in the world? Do you think every pilot in India is a CPL holder and do you think everyone has 300 hours only!!!

Please do not send me retarded questions again -

Thank you

@SuperflyTNT

Yes,

they are fair on that written part. Make sure you score higher than 85, because if the test are easy then everyone will not be selected for second round.
