Atleast you got in....but sorry for those who could not make it till now.
I know it would be rude to ask you but do you know whats gonna happen to those who got at the time of Sultan and some at the time of Pilot couple's?
Just heard that those pilots are on the move specially those got in at the time of 2009 ...is it true?
And of course whats the pay for F/O and bond limitations?

2.5 was 4 years ago. Now it's about 1.4-1.5. As of now HR has imposed a multitude of salary options. Some guys are bonded AND having trainingcosts deducted, go figure that one. Some are TR'ed with a 5 yr bond. Some guys don't have any bonds. It all changes batch to batch. Kinda gives you an idea of the adhocism here.
Rest assured, you will be treated poorly by HR, admin, rostering at every step so leave your ego out of this or else you will be pounded to pulp. This place is demoralizing.
Rostering will make you do some crazy stuff bordering on illegal to get their flights out. They once told my fo not to worry about fdtls as dgca doesn't care about this kinda stuff. I had to call on his behalf to sort them out in my own fashion.
So, in one sentence, pay is crap, so is the flying. Being treated poorly comes as a perk. Now you tell me why anyone would want to join this joke. I realize things are bad so you can't really cherry pick your first job, but guys should really give this airline a miss if they have that luxury. Or else see on the line soon so I can tell you personally I told you so.

Just like as an fo I used to say my captain. Work as a team, hence the camaraderie. Fly much do ya?
On the flip how would you describe it? Stick to the subject fs player or that's pretty much be the only thing you'll end up flying.

a friend of mine flying for sg heard something about an exam coming up,just something he heard in passing ,i was hoping someone here could throw some light on it ,i dont knw if its for type rated ppl or ab inits

No Type-Rating exam as of now
I came to understand that, SG has already recruited CPL pilots for 737, some 20ppl has already paid hefty amount for training as well as for inside jugaad, hence these ppl will be there for utilisation after for sometime. Next recruitment god knows. Though management is new and capable, but the recruitment is in the hands of few, who are just selling the seats backdoor. Spicejet is goin in loss due to improper mobilisation of resources and they lack in maximum utilisation of planes.
Though market is filled with 737 Type-Rated pilots, but they hired CPL holders, for their immediate requirement. Inside Sources, It is true, Spicejet has serious internal issues that need to be sorted out, there is no proper co-ordination and co-operation among the top managements (CEO, COO & Flight Opns.). They need to review and revamp the existing policies as per the market, further they lack motivation and team spirit, because top management works for their own profits and not for the betterment of the company.
Recruitment part : Ailing airline needs to fill the gap of attrition immediately, arrest the cancellations of flights due to non-availability of manpower, MAJOR flaw is in the part of Flight Opns. Is it true that spicejet is starting a new TFO's batch of non-type rated pilots this month for 737. If yes, can someone put some light on this. I mean who these students are and have they undergone any written test and interview or not. Also I heard spicejet is planning to conduct a written exam soon....true?

These students are hand picked by Flight Opns, by eye wash exam conducted couple of months ago.
Again they are planning to conduct the exam same way, if u know Flight Opns ppl and if u have money........................ u r in

Greetings ….!!!
Subsequent to the application sent for the post of “Trainee First Officer”. We are pleased to inform you that we are conducting a written entrance examination on 12th October 2011.Those candidates who qualify from their performance in written examination will have to undergo further selection process.
Your are supposed to come and collect your Examination Roll Number on or before 7th October ’11 from SpiceJet Corporate Office (Gurgaon) and have to carry two passport size photographs and a Demand Draft of Rs. 20000/- drawn in favor of SpiceJet Limited, payable at Delhi. Kindly mention your name and contact details on the backside of the demand draft. Venue and timing details will be shared with you on the same day.
You are also required to carry an updated CV and 2 passport size photographs along with the following documents original as well as photocopies:-
1) CPL and IR
2) FRTOL
3) RTR
4) Class one Medical.
5) Photo ID Proof
