Lampoon,

Here's something for you to think about. All those airlines you mentioned in you post hire plenty of direct entry single aisle time pilots including SilkAir. Where do you get your info from?

That explains the very civilian-looking jet flying around TAB...any idea what it does?
I've seen it a couple of times, it can't be to chauffeur the CAF around right?

The G550 for Singapore Technologies/Aerospace/Pacific Flight Services MAY or MAY NOT not have been delivered yet. If/when it comes it will be utilized as a trainer for the AEW Gulfstreams the SAF is getting to replace the E-2C's.

PFS currently operates a Lerjet 35 and 45 for passenger charter, air ambulance and mil contract (mostly target tow). The 35/45 are overall white with red striping and the ST logo on the vertical tail.

enquiry

I've seen that this thread has come a long way since few years ago and therefore has many pilots in here as well as many good advice/recommendations.

Here's my scenario. I'm currently 24 and I am interested to enter SIA as a pilot. My chances of joining rsaf were hindered due to admin problem(i think) i passed all 3 stages but was nv called up. When i called them, they never seem to have an idea where my application went. Sadly, I already ord.

Now my question is... when will SIA start recruiting? Ive bookmarked their career pilot appointment in my website. But it always shows that there is no position available. Is there any other way that i can apply from? And i heard from netizens that i shld apply when im 25.5 years of age? is it true?

Hey evis, there was an article in the Straits Times last Saturday which mentioned the earliest SIA would start cadet recruitment would be mid 2010. I guess this would depend largely on how the economy fares and the demand for air travel.

hi guys,

i've just applied through the website but my little cousin who took over the computer accidentally clicked on the tab which states that i no longer wished to be considered for the position.

As such, my application was rejected by the system straight away and it forbids me from applying again.

anyone have any idea what i can do now? help deeply appreciated.

The answer is no. Unless SIA goes searching in India again. Which won't happen given the economy

thanks guys for the reply.

the system is apparently pretty smart. i set up a new email acct and tried sending in another application. the system somehow knew it's the same person(perhaps bcuz the full name is still the same in the application) and didn't allow me to apply again.

but i've got it settled. sent an email and now the status of my application is no longer 'rejected'.

the wait begins now...
