The 120 that have been selected, ahve they started their training or awaiting medical final selection(sorting)?
and when does the training for these cadets start? Are they divided into batches?

Yes the bulk of them are being trained now. And yes, they are divided into different batches.

Hi to the guys who went for the interview on 18th Nov.

Did you guys get your reply yet?
I got an email yesterday that basically said they're not proceeding with the 2nd round of interviews in December, but they'll inform me when a date is fixed?

I guess this means they have suddenly decided to stop hiring for now?

Anyone got a different kind of reply?

Hi rimshot, it is great to hear that you have some news.

I went for the interview on 18th Nov too, but I did not receive any email from SIA. When exactly did you receive the email?

How is the email worded? Are they not proceeding with the 2nd round interviews, or are they not letting you proceed on with the 2nd round interview? If you don't mind, do paste your email in the forum (without the names).

Anyone else who was interviewed on 18th Nov, and was invited to the 2nd interview? Do share with us. Thanks.

Received the mail about 12noon yesterday.

I'll PM you, just in case they are sensitive about such things. Although there's not much written in the email.

I believe SQ is slowing down on the recruitment that's why they are not proceeding with Round 2 until later. Maybe they want you guys to be in the FY12/13 pool.

When would the batches for that recruitment start their training?

First batch in FY12/13 will commence their training sometime in May 2012 after OBS.

So they can expect a call for the second round sometime between February and April, right?

Also do you have any clue regarding the Indian cadet selection, last I heard they had called guys for the 2nd round from the first two cities who had appeared for the first round back in the summer in India, can the remaining to expect a call in December ? or is it unlikely now?

Not too sure on that. Situation is rather fluid at the moment and things tend to slow down during year end anyway. I guess we'll just have to "watch this space".

A few questions:

Anyone submitted their application on 14th Nov or after?

Also, will they call you up or email you to arrange for the first interview?

Need some advice on my situation

I'm 21, just finished NS and want to apply for the SIA Cadet Pilot Programme. Everybody i know tells me the age limit is 26. Also, I read somewhere that the age limit is to reserve the talent pool for the RSAF. However, i was a pilot trainee with the RSAF. I passed the aptitude test, interview, medical and signed on as a regular. Then went to Tamworth, Australia for Airgrading where we flew the BAE CT/4B. However, i was ex-ed at australia and so my military flying career ended there. Question is, will SIA waive the age requirement in my case? And will they be biased against me? Since i was a pilot trainee with the airforce. Thanks

Hi I'm a PR but i'm half english and half taiwanese. Does this effect my chances of applying to join the RSAF? Been practicing on COMPASS tests and everything. Let me know! Good luck getting into SIA

I think the RSAF is strictly for citizens only. Feel free to try out SIA though...
