Was driving along A61 Wakefield Road around 1120/01Feb saw what appeared to be a jet fighter on finals in to LBA.

3nm per 1000' ie FL330 = 99nm
add 2nm per 10kt of TWC or subtract 1nm per 10kt of HWC
add 1nm per 10kt above min clean speed.

I did a ferry flight (Helped the owner) fly an Antonov AN2 from Ottawa, Canada to Reykjavik, Iceland via Greenland.

Have a mate who will be on the Sep course.
He is an EMB-145 F/O training as Capt of Dash8.
Apparently there will be one outsider on the course.:{

EXT biz jet incident.

Friend who 'saw' the 'incident' is non aviation so he didn't really know much about the acft type.

He felt it passed over his car at about 20 feet.....

UK CAA MEP RTO not trained or tested, briefed only.

EFATO must be trained and tested above 500 AGL.

MEP EFATO & Take off roll

In the UK MEP syllabus we are not required to fail an engine on the take-off roll, only brief it and any EFATO must be done at a minimum of 500 AGL. :D

Depends on where in the pool your friend is. Some of the poolers have been there since Oct/Nov05. A lot of people joined the pool in Nov/Dec05.
