We have only been informed of the possibility of resurfacing the southern. I agree they should’ve thought about this earlier. It could’ve been done and reopen by now if they were really on the ball.

Because they are considering doing it all in 1 go rather than the usual overnight resurfacing. If they decide to do it we will be SRO until October. It should be confirmed during the next week.

Still awaiting a decision on whether they are going to resurface the southern runway in which case it will be a couple of months.

As the aircraft was taxying for departure we were informed that the runway at its destination (Manston) was flooded hence it returned to the gate. The aircraft departed the following day.

The A380 will no touch any soil in the north west. It will perform a missed approach at both Manchester (1.20pm) and Liverpool (1.30pm) before heading to the Wirral Show for a 10min display.
