Found North Denes in 2001 Pooleys. Runway 28/10 - 480m grass but do not allow fixed wing traffic (they did some years ago).

Instrument approach is probably an NDB one - no indication of anything...

The 'qualification' must not contain any instrument flying and the old 'rating' must have had a bit, or assumed you had some to start with if it was IMC useful.

I dont think there is an obvious way around this. I have never been able to get a class 1. I have considered laser surgery but know that it's the pre-op prescrition that the caa are really intersted...

It seems that there is a renewal route bypassing the initial CAA class 1 if you have faa cpl + faa class 1.

All I want to do is some part-time intructing but the CAA class 1 initial visual requirements are in the way of it all.
