I believe the explanation is incomplete because the pilots would have obviously apply correction rudder right to stop the uncommanded left rotation that let me think that is a hydraulic jam here in...

Automatic gear extension.

There are only two aircrafts that had and have that feature: the Bugatti racer and the latest lanceAir Mako. Now it seams a good idea to have this feature one more step towards Drones.

the only one Bugatti Plane had the similar system :
negative flaps on cruise to reduce drag and auto deployment of positive (down) flaps according the speed . Clever!
