Smoke haze in area

Rumour has it (in the spirit of PPRUNE) that it was as a result of poor visibility on approach.
There had been much autumn burning off in the area with smoke haze.

Be careful about vertigo with that one!

That is likely to cause disorientation, especially if you are in turning flight. Because such an action will set up fluid circulation in you semi-circular canals (your balance organs).
