Highly unlikely that would have happened in spite of the vibration! Engines are held on (basically) by a couple of BIG bolts that are intended to shear when stresses get too much....... bigger worry...

Until the investigation reveals the real reasons for not evacuating the aircraft we are all guessing what was in the Captain's mind but he would most likely be concerned about a fuel fire spreading...

Pretty rarely, it is certainly not the norm as the only frequency "available" is 121.5 MHz, being an emergency channel and chatter is not encouraged on it!

Other VHF and HF channels are maybe used...

I've got some 6,000 hours as a sim instructor/check captain on heavy jets and as already said, have never heard of any DECENT airline that throws a total Newbie into a Sim for assessment.
