Air Niugini Pilots to go on B Salary
Hi guys, just heard from a young guy I mentored for a wheel jerker's job on the ancient old F28-100 with PX who hasn't worked for around 2 months and has been told a "lot" of Expat Pilots may be getting the bullet if they don't accept the B salary package on offer!
Appears the new CEO (ex Qantas) wants to scrap most of the ancient fleet and bring in leased aircraft with high pax loading etc. meaning fewer pilots!
I thought that Expat and National salaries were pretty much the same in PX these days though most likely benefits like rent etc. would not be offered to the Nats?
I believe there is some sort of legal action on the go presently ...............
Any advice or updates much appreciated!

'Wheel jerker' aka 'gear jerker'. A throwback to the bad old days when certain rusted-on Captains regarded the F/O as an embuggerance only there to operate the gear and flaps.

Townsville refueller who is a mate of mate mine says the new MD is going introduce Qantas pilots salaries & conditions at PX.
And E190s to replace Fukkers, A330s to replace lapun 767s
