Post Mac-air to base a Saab in SYD

Apparently Mac-air have plans to base a Saab in SYD. The Saab will replace the Metro aircraft currently operating the old Horizon routes.

Redpath Regional takes to the air

Redpath Regional Air Services commenced operations in December between Port Macquarie, Lismore and Brisbane. A C208 VH-OZH is operating the flights.

Dash Man,

QRA are only leasing JZS (008) from Aeromil, and I'm told it is only on a 12 month lease. APNG the parent company of QRA are keen to have their own aircraft in service with QRA.

I believe the 8 aircraft will be, TQQ, TQP, TQQ, TND, TNG, WZI, WZJ and WZS.

Skippers, Aeromil and QRA are keen to expand their Dash 8 fleets.

Vanair to operate an ATR42

Vanair have plans to introduce an ATR42 into their fleet. Their Dash 8-100 was returned late last year to Bombardier. Their current fleet is made of 3 Twin Otters, 1 Bandit and 1 Islander.

Qantas is about to start their next phase of the Qantaslink Dash 8 upgrade/replacement. Apparently they plan to replace 8 of the older Dash 8-100's with 6 newer Dash 8-300's.

I think you will find there will be at least 6...

I think you will find there will be at least 6 new F100's in OZ by this time next year. At least 1 maybe 2 for Skywest and 4 more for Alliance.

Yes it is a risk, but hey it's their money. Plus Virgin don't own REX, so if a new regional was to start there is nothing stopping them from linking with Virgin along the same lines as REX....
