Eight older Dash's to go from Q'Link

...and about time too. This increase in capacity should have occured years ago but the wheel turns extremely slowly at the White Rat!
Plenty of hours on them and cycles ! ... although the "TFs" are well mod-ed and maintained and would possibly be well sought after. Plenty will be happy to see the end of the "WCs", I bet

Will Sunnies still have adequate low capacity equipment (DHC 8-100/200's) for the "thin" Queensland rural air routes, or will we see an increase in aircraft size, with reduction in flight frequency at some time in the future?

Wirraway,
VH-SDE is a -200 and is practically a new aircraft inside - it definetley will not be going.
As for the QLD outback flights that still leaves TNX,TNW,TNU as -100's in the sunstate fleet to operate these flights.

Thanks for the info, I seem to have trouble telling the difference
between the 100s and 200s, thought that photo was a 100
and the other photo I have on the database VH-TNG was a
200.

The best way to tell if it is a -100 or a -200 is the location of the taxi light. The -100s have it located in the nosecone, while the -200s have it located on the nosewheel.

I think you will find there are eight -300's that will be coming to our shores. Four to each regional, replacing five 100's in either company. All the WZ's (3), and two TQ's for EAA, and all the TN's in SSA (5).

CBC,
Unless it's TQW or V (very unattractive aeroplane) which has the lamp on the nosewheel. Both are 10somethings
I think post '90 have the nosewheel taxi light regardless of series.....
But I could be mistaken.
I was gonna say skinny nosewheels but I think TQW has them too. And the increased ZFW

Dash Man,
QRA are only leasing JZS (008) from Aeromil, and I'm told it is only on a 12 month lease. APNG the parent company of QRA are keen to have their own aircraft in service with QRA.

The first aircraft to be removed from service and replaced will be VH-TQA, which is on lease to EAA. From there, it is up to the gods on how the cards fall ( there are 2 or 3 idears on the table ).
Wait and see for the rest...........
