I went from a Rotax machine to an RV and there is no getting away from it the fuel bill goes up. Having said that if you can afford the extra they are great fun.

I'm based at Damyns and all are welcome to visit. £6 landing fee even in a helicopter. Runway 21 does have pylons on the approach, just offset your approach to the right slightly and straighten up...

Used a 296 then replaced it with a 496 in an RV6 panel mounted. Both screens are fine in direct sunlight. Although the very early 296s had a slightly less bright screen.

The Rvs are well worth considering. I have a 6 and went to Leipzig in Germany 2 weeks ago to drop a friend off to collect his plane, 150kt at 27lts is quite easy. Good tourers and great fun to fly.
