I can remember travelling in bua 1-11s in the late 60s with rearward seats. On a smooth flight you forgot you were travelling "backwards" until the landing! Quite strange but felt safe.

Haven't read all the posts on this thread but all I can say is that an inexperienced captain on EasyJet does not get rostered with a low hours f/o.

Just out of interest had a look at LGW - JER fares with EZY starting next Spring.

Seems like you can get a deal around £54 return without hold bags, with BA coming in around £68 for a similar...
