I think that it is due to a forecaster adding a "trend" to the METAR for Heathrow after the local observer has done the ob. Gatwick METARS do not have a "trend" added.

The airshow in 2010 did not start until July 19th, the first arrivals day was the Monday before, the 12th. You can expect arrivals and practice/validation flights from July 2nd...
