Heathrow VOLMET Corrected

Why do I so often hear 'Corrected' on London VOLMET for Heathrow? I have never heard this at LGW so I wondered what purpose it serves.

I think that it is due to a forecaster adding a "trend" to the METAR for Heathrow after the local observer has done the ob. Gatwick METARS do not have a "trend" added.
