Sorry but I won't be mourning the demise of Sir Beardie's domestic enterprise. I have flown with VS to ABZ to see what it was like and frankly it was poor.

Can't VS find any British qualified A320 crews for these operations? Probably more to the point is that Yes there are British crews there but VS don't want to pay their salaries.

It would be great to have LGW with its own identity again. I agree that the 734's are showing their age but the crews out of LGW are first class and I have nothing but praise for them at all levels.

According to VS's web site, they only use the A340-600 on the VS200/ VS201 to HKG/ SYD. It still looks to me that these a/c are going to MNL and back empty. That is really environmentally friendly...
