Also i saw the roster of a friend on 380 and found it really kool ...

Base depends on requirement. And after that depending on seniority you can move to the base you need as per availability which is a good system.

Do not think about salary as a first officer in Indigo. Even if it is slightly less initially, there would be upgrade from junior co-pilot to co-pilot and then senior co-pilot in the company....
