Ryanair Winter 24/25

It appears Venice is changing to Treviso from Marco Polo twice a week.

It isn't fully bookable but using the usual trick of searching Lodz and changing the last three letters of the web address...

I arrived 04.15 at BHX Sunday and was in the departure lounge by 04.25 with plenty of departures. I had bought a fast track pass weeks before but it wasn't required. I did arrive via the monorail...

BHX

What would they make of my little story. Even at my age I can easily walk the 6 floors at work to my desk, all on my own, nobody holding my hand or supplying me oxygen but at BHX I have to go to the...

1984

I think such memories will also bring up "what might have been" or "lack of foresight" and whilst it is difficult to criticise those in charge at the time on a human level certainly on business level...

Shocked I must have been edited out but I was a spotty teenager at the time (albeit for a few days) and it did go out before 9pm watershed :ouch: but saw some familiar faces including a friend/work...

Freight, Pax & TUI

I do have a bit of sympathy for Swissport as they do have their work cut out with passenger flights this summer and Blue City seem to be managing the freight very well.

Lovely sound of the...

Brussels

That is the plan I believe but of course it is a long time between now and then and the cynic in me is half-expecting the flights quietly to be removed mid summer. 12 A week sounds about right and it...

winter 24/5

Not sure how much of this schedule will remain in tact but some other points I have taken

1) Completely ignores the BHX November night closures but no different to Ryanair which they do every year...

easyJet

Same here I can't see them failing at BHX, it has been a long time coming and I am sure the agreement with the airport is mutually beneficial to both and it will go from strength to strength.

As...

Hangar 2

Isn't there an asbestos issue with demolition thus adding to the cost and hence lack of interest?

I remember G-BGKN HS125, BE90 and Bolkow 208 all GKN in hangar 2 - crikey how old does that make...

Don't be so sure. 3 x 787's sat all day on the 80's at BHX on Monday and never moved, obviously one was damaged so you can't count that but again a 789 has been on the ground 27 hours now at BHX...

Was this done at BHX as it didn't fly from 11 Feb until an air-test on 17/2?

If so was this done in STS as FY & HF were supposed to have been in the hangar last week

I think the most shocking comparison for November was the 2023 passenger figure of 188735 compared to November 2002 of 236932, that is one big gap to close. The Midlands is a slow burn for getting...
