Flying CAT "A" profile over weight

I have seen and have flown with a few pilots who insist on flying the CAT "A" VTOL profile when well above the weight restrictions imposed by the Flight Manual.

Why? any benefits in doing so ?

I did my class 1 medical recently and the cost, I consider a little steep..

$370 for a class 1 renewal (only addition lung function and ecg) seems a bit of a rip..

I'm quessing that ERA have a contract with Jayrow. ERA are employing the pilots not Jayrow.

As they will be N rego'd aircraft you will an FAA licence.
