An engineer told me it adds 0.1 litre per minute to fuel consumption. Normal fuel consumption is 1.0 litre per minute at max continuous manifold pressure.

Reports of the R22's demise may be premature. A reasonably equipped new
R22 will cost around $250k + shipping, say around £140,000 to fly away in the UK. A new G2 Cabri has a list price of €249,000...
