Totally agree with sycamore, surely a pm to WFS would have done if you have a problem.
Too much negative reaction to an idea to get mainly private helicopters togeather for fun.
I would be going if I was in the country and the 222 is very nice.

Bolkow, the Alouettes are 2's, we are hoping to have a couple of them.
John R81, can you PM me with your email address please.
Jarvy, it's a shame your not in the country for the fly-in, we always seem to miss eachother when you are back!!

So far we have a couple of Alouettes, a Scout, a couple of Gazzelles, an Enstrom, a Rotorway, a couple of JetRangers, a R44 and maybe even a A119 booked in, if anyone else intrested then please pm me with your email address so I can forward the rest of the info across.

Heli-Charter Fun Day

The plans for the fun day at Heli-Charter on the 31st July are coming on well. Most of the aircraft are now booked in for around 1100-1130. Light refreshments will be provided for anyone coming, the BBQ will be ready to go for 1200. We have a couple of light hearted competitions starting at 1300. We have a few different aircraft coming along for you to see. We also have pilots and engineers on-site if you have any questions. During the day there will be a JetRanger just inside the hangar with a few defects, the idea is to do a "check-a" and see if you can spot them.
The best bit about the day there is NO landing fee's and cheep fuel!!!
There will be a few static stands including H&S Aviation, Haywards insurance, Kent Air Ambulance, Porsche and Polar Helicopters.

If you fancy a fly to somewhere then drop me an email and it would be great to see you!

Bell 222 flights

Will prospective passengers in the Bell 222 be made aware that the pilot is operating the aircraft on a US licence so insurance issues could become convoluted to say the least. Perhaps all passengers will be regarded as friends or family of the owner.

Angry Fun day

Intended to fly here but canx due to weather, we were 50-50 to go but decided against . A colleague of mine did drive to the event & was very disappointed.
The alleged booked visiting helicopters did not turn up, Rotorway, scout, Allouette etc, he felt the staff were quite wary of questions asked in the hangar & was not allowed access 'airside' to take photo's either escorted on tours or in high viz .

His view was somewhat different to the promotion material.

Unfortunately the Rotorway isn't equiped for IMC, had to turn back as VFR became IFR, and that was mid-afternoon....sorry about that...

Can't comment further as I wasn't there....

A great day was had by all who came. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too good first thing, however it didn't put everyone who had booked in off. The star of the show, the Bell 222 was here giving rides as was the A109. All flight were being carried out free of charge before people ask. Parasite drag - it was a shame I didn't get to meet you, but I understand about the weather!! Also the Allouette and the Scout were on the phone to me all day hoping the weather would break enough for them to get to us. We will be hosting another fly-in in the very near future, hopefully on a sunny day!! I would like to thank H&S for bringing along engines for engines for everyone to look at, also Haywards and Kent Air Ambulance for coming along. Of course I would like to thank all pilots who managed to attend. Pics from the day will follow in the next 48hrs.
