Still, having a 400mm lens will definatly help you do that LOL.
HELOfan - Thanks for the kind words...

Good copy on the 400mm...What also helps is that since I shoot digital without a full-frame sensor I get a crop factor equivalent to 600mm. Using a VR lens makes a ton of difference as well.

Great for getting shots like these...

B2F: it's not the lense/filter, they're tip vortices. You will see them from helicopters too, particularly in humid conditions. Many is the time I've watched a helicopter take off or land and think "I wish I had my camera!" It's also the same effect you'll see from a fast jet doing a display.
