Thumbs up Thanks

Hi AFCSoff,

I'd like to say thank you for sharing some really great photographs! I was particularly impressed by the close up of the crew members leaning out the back of the RAF Merlin - it's such a crisp photo!

A great variety of helicopters included. I've really enjoyed viewing this thread so far!

Thanks again

It's the Brantly305-first flown in the early Sixties.

Best Huey on the Planet???

Hog Man,

I freely admit being prejudiced in this matter....but my vote would be for this Huey....and not that vanilla coated thing of yours with the 18 wheeler mirrors.

Miss Jo is much more the Huey than the other.

Ok Sasy..... Miss Jo may still have her green dress on and the mounts, and I am sure she has the scars from Vietnam just like Hubert .

But is she this good on the inside

OK Hog....

I give up....Miss Jo looks much better now but at one time when she was being used as the Guest Pilot's Quarters at a place in the wet Pacific Northwest she looked like this.

To all,

This is a great thread with so many folks adding pic's.

The Bristow pic's certainly bring back the memories of times long ago.

Thriddle Op Des
..... there must be a way of posting the actual photo on the site as above, but I suspect that this is frowned upon.
Frowned upon???!!!
I edited your first post to tell you how to do it, but you've deleted the post.
If all else fails, follow the instructions.

Posting pictures hosted on Photobucket couldn't be easier.
  • Below each photo there is a box titled "IMG Code - Forums and Bulletin Boards"
  • Left-click on the contents of that box and everything you need will be copied. A yellow flag pops up saying 'Copied'.
  • Paste what you've copied into your post in this forum.
  • Press 'Submit Reply' and your picture will appear.
Here are the pics you were trying to post.

Heliport, you need to make allowances for TOD: he used to be 'one of us' but sadly had a mid-life crisis and is now an A340 captain!
