Not me unfortunately. This shot has been around for a while but don't think it's been here before. First attempt at uploading photos..here goes. Sorry about the blades being stopped Ned. I didn't take it...I probably would have chopped it in half.

FBD - Love the shot

With regards to the blades it doesnt really matter how slow you stop the shutter speed down to from that angle you are never going to get blade blur. As soon as you start getting close to that same level angle it just aint going to happen. Cool shot though.

Awesome Photo's NED

Ned,

YOU'RE THE GURU OF Helo Pix!

Do you know if John was flying the Children's S-76 from Los Angeles?

Rob

Dumb question, but have you published a book of pix, with the exception of Helo Ops?

Cant remember the guys name but he flies the 76 most of the time. Really nice guy to work with.

In regards to a book, have been thinking about it, just have to find the time and not sure if there would be a market for a helicopter photo book, apart from the diehards here.

Late reply!

Nasus.

Sorry for the late replay, but i have been on a few weeks leave.

Concerning the problem of loading a 120 kg patient: it s very rare that we are on our own when it comes to loading patients. Usually the local fire/rescue crew assist us with that stuff..
But of course, we wont be able to load a patient of that size on our own. In that case we will have to find another solution.

The NVG equipment we have is cleared by the US to be used by us, I am just a pilot, but i udnerstand that that the papper work for it was fairly massiv!!!!

sending some pics:

a view from the cockpit!!

Ned,

Was the 76 guy have an accent? Possibly a slight Irish accent? He was one of my CFI's in the day.

Between here, and a couple of the other helo websites, your book would sell! Hell I'd buy one!

I don't know how you have the time to do what you do, and still put out a class act magazine! Kudo's to you!

Cheers-
Rob

Thumbs down

Helicopter 153389 rests at Al Asad, Iraq, after being recovered from a hard landing. The aircraft was repairable after the landing until the Army volunteered to recover it. During recovery, the convoy drove under a bridge with a low clearance resulting in the aircraft smashing into the bridge. Photo by: Courtesy of Steve Fresina

I've got a whole load of these but will have to 'doctor' those that have any identifiable plates and faces.

On the forecourt at Stansted Airport

Early morning on the pad

Exactly 2d, kudos to the pilot

Attending an RTA

Accident on a dual carriageway

I see your Essex and Kent co-responding and raise you Lincs/Notts, County EMA, East Anglia and Cambridge police doing similar, (not a very good photo though):

Bertie, you've got me beat hands down, and there'll be no challenge, any job that required 4 heli's . You'll find me behind the sofa!

Meanwhile, a competition akin to spot the ball.....where's the ground.
