Would that be the advert with the Cow stuck in the tree?
Vol, can you name any of the wrecked planks in your last pic?,
Not really but I am sure a spotter or two would get them, however I am assured they were parked expertly by the Liverpool Womens Flying Club

I believe that it was the resultant of the subsiding water levels post monsoon! Obviously my man in Dairylea reads this!
edit : Just seen that tree ad, the autogyro is an accompanying ad with same 'stars'.

This post is in no way to be considered an attack on autorot8 or his carer, and if it is I shall look closer at the PMs he sent to me!

Dairylea

At least the bovine pilots in the advert managed to get that far without giving up!. Arise captain cow, you might as well be honoured as everyone else who has done as much as you thinks they should be. At least the donation went to a good cause. Well done Global eagle. No mention of it on your web site mind you.
Did you know that anybody who wants to can purchase the published accounts for any company for only £30, the mind boggles! I suppose they could be puchased and everybody can read them despite it being none of their buisness. Have they never heard of privacy? Next thing you know, some fool might publish them on the net! Must be a law against that! None of their buisness!!!!!

It would seem to me that there is still a security issue in that any pictures taken in India are subject to security scrutineering.

Hopefully this matter will be resolved by the time the summer holidays are upon us, allowing family and friends to interchange their experiences of this wonderful and charasmatic country.

In the meantime, let me show you some of the pics I have obtained from 'sources', during this recent visit.

Mmm, not looking too good.

Could it fly again?

Just a bit of polishing required!

BJ@XD

guess whos back, back again? Sources confirm that our intrepid and gallant hero has graced the hallowed tarmac at dishcloth again. He was probably getting clearance to post some pics on this thread and was checking that it was ok to do so, what a top bloke!. It is hard being an international icon and peoples hero all at the same time. Using his media personality to raise the profile of worthy causes and charities all around the globe.
I see a particular favorite charity of mine is still working hard to raise money-North Yorkshire Air Ambulance-so if anybody else has any spare cash then please donate it direct to them and help make a difference and save life. Perhaps it would be a good target for the sums raised by Globaleagle, being on an aviation theme? I am sure that a few thousand would make a big difference.
Its not like they would use it to buy cars, motorbikes or 42"plasma tvs.Nobody would do that.Never.

Mmmm, BJ may well be '@XD', but is there a crate there aswell?

Perhaps said crate and contents went straight to 'Hangar5@BoscombeDown'.

Everyone likes a good conspiracy.........and behind every conspiracy, there tends to be a story to be told.
( Like where are the 9/11 black boxes? And the 9/11 hijackers passport found in the rubble! Both FACTS! )

Rumour at the snug bar at the Crown Hotel mentions the autogyro to be made airworthy once more, as I recall was mentioned previously.

Although not to be sold off for financial reasons, per say, it is believed that the aircraft has become such a talking point throughout the Corps that it is hoped it will be flying in time for this years 'Helidays' event at Weston-S-Mare.

As can be seen by this local article, http://www.thewestonmercury.co.uk/ar...30Helidays.asp , the event is well attended and I'm sure it will be a successful addition perhaps, to the AAC Historic Flt. who attend such events. (see article)

Obviously just a rumour and it was a very nice bottle of Chardonnay, or was that her name ? hic...

Money money money

SS, you could be onto somthing here, like say, holding onto the aircraft and keeping it for yourself and your own financial gain. What sort of person would do a thing like that? Everytime you fly and people see you or ATC hear you all they will think is" there goes the person who raised money for charity and never gave it to them", little children will look up in awe and wonder if they will every be such a role model. Why have they shut the web site down? where are the pictures? why is the MOD paying for expensive freight of a private asset? Has a PXR been written?

Mmm, is something going on?

I've been trying to contact B@XD, dummy@VP and some of the support crew@VP on course, but noone seems to know where they are. Telephone ringout each time.
(I know dummy was active yesterday on the site of the 18th plural, so he, at least, must be around somewhere!)
The information I have is old hat now, so not much use to anyone, but can someone confirm that B(& crate) are @XD?

Ta
SS

p.s. For those not aware......Lost in the post????

Were you ringing whilst Desperate Housewives was on TV?
I wonder where they have all gone...is this like the lost 9 minutes in X-Files

I have some images of the abandoned Global Eagle Mission Centre and it does not look good..

is the above proof that there were other casualties during the Monsoon????

The latest update is that there is no real update.

However, no news suggests some news.

dummy has been following me, (like having a little puppy at your heels!), onto other prune posts, once again to try and trash a thread, I suspect previous attempts have been under a different user name.
I know that he has been in contact with some of the GE team and it would seem that nothing is to be said in public. Mainly because nothing has been said in public.

Rumour at the muskies is that the crate is @XD and stored under lock and key, because of this thread. Why would that be?

Is it just a coincidence that the closest the A51 gets to XD is 51 miles and in some road atlases it is on page 51?

No crate yet!

Just had word from one of my sources who has had a good scour round at XD that there is no large crates or shipping boxes around. All the sheds were checked and lookouts posted, should any arrive a full investigation of the contents will be carried out and anything of intrest will be posted here.
Guess i am not alone in getting a pm from WD40 dope (or somthing like that!) trying to put the frightners on me! shaking in my shoes and feeling intimidated .Guess i will have to be careful . makes you wonder though, why not tell the truth rather than try to scare people away?, must be somthing we are not to know. Reckon the MOD are using these machines to plug the shortfall in helicopters that they have?Make up numbers?-replacements for chinooks that are grounded?
Heard a rumour that the Army might be planning to have another crack at the flight with a better team and a much much better pilot, the mind boggles!. Still atleast they have loads of t shirts already made up!

Heck that would be a worry.... I am sensing some coincidences falling into place here..like a touch of Deja Vou... only a different callsign???

Helmut Visorcover
Or am I just making silly assumptions that Mr Dummy and the above are not related in anyway..or even, cut my tounge out even for thinking.....the same person

I see that there may be another attempt for this record, I can see the promo pictures for the intrepid warriors as I write!

Some interestin times ahead me thinks..

This post no way attacks the liberties of any other poster on this forum or even the liabilities of those that post in fact I dont really give a sh*t

Now then ML et al,

" Heard a rumour that the Army might be planning to have another crack at the flight with a better team and a much much better pilot, the mind boggles!"

Being somewhat of a Layman here I'm finding it rather difficult to read between the lines. Having flown GE as far as India I find it hard to accept that Barry's professional ability should be in question.

ML..........do you mean " better pilot" or "better person".

Even now at this late stage in the proceedings questions are still arising and I just cannot understand why no one in the know hasn't got the gumption to stand up and say " this is how it is ".

Waiting in anticipation for " enlightenment "

Oooooooooh...is that a black Omega just stopping at the end of my driveway.

Regards to all.

E5

Whats going on?

Seems Globaleagle have resorted to getting a big stick and seeing if it will scare people away!. like some fool like wd40 idiot will scare me!. If you want to know where i live then all you have to do is ask and i would only be too glad to " chat over a coffee ". I find gumshield original a favorite blend . Seem to have loads and look forward to sharing a fresh one, all you have to do is ask.

Funny old thing threats!
I recall a few years ago some guy saying to me
" I know where you live and one night I am going to follow you home"
I asked him how does that work then if he knew where I lived??

I guess some of you are getting near to the truth or making it a bit uncomfortable for somebody if you are getting PM threats...

Hmmmmm plot thickens......

SSorry to have to delete my recent post.
Although not something I like to do but in this case perhaps even one of my posts was too 'below the belt' and close to the knuckle. Old times run deep and as such I decided it was for the better.

Hopefully the 'empty' phone calls will stop now.

dummy, your box is full (fnarr!)

As soon as I ask, it seems as though photographic evidence of the crate at XD is available;

Now the problem is, who is going to open it and look inside.
Maybe it will turn out to be more of a Pandoras box than a lost Ark.
