For some backgorund see SS at......
http://www.pprune.org/forums/showth...10&pagenumber=4
And for some background to rotary pongo... read the previous pages to that.

Before I continue,
I think that rp wants y'all to read sitting_duck s post, which by the way is Factually incorrect but hey, forums right ! Truth, good story, we all do it !!

Just to highlight ;

rotary pongos 'career'

30 Dec 2003 "I'm a (training) Army Pilot "
01 Feb 2004 "I'm an AAC officer and I did not join the Army to fly."
09 Nov 2004 Attended Attack Pilots Dinner.
And then attacks me for saying he was an AH pilot, (after the boast of attending the AH pilots dinner), by saying, amongst other things...

"Who ever said I was AH?"
(Now theres a grudge to bear, being caught out as a 'Walter Mitty'.)

The thread referred to has the accusation that SS was giving out 'privileged information'. This information was posted firstly on the site of the 18th plural, (which was deleted as the war on the prune site started, hence my alteration) and then in the national press websites. So not very privileged was it rp?

By the way, as I had left the AAC by the time RP had come out of the box, I don't really think he is an authority to comment as strongly as he thinks he can.
He likes to highlight my career, but hasn't yet one of his own.

RP;
If you wanted to slate SS, there are better posts you can refer to which won't make you seem such an idiot.

It would have been someone like myself who would have been nominated to guide you on your first steps in aviation to try and prevent you becoming yet another statistic!
I wonder if you treat serving SNCO Pilots with as much contempt.

Does anyone else get that deja vu feeling when people can\'t be bothered to read the whole of a thread?
Slag off SS... it's been done!!

Here we go again, queing up to bash SS...seen it and got the T-shirt, I guess you have reasons for pulling your post Sid earlier, but I read it and could see nothing wrong with it.
Is AH anything to do with that wonderful purchase the AH64? You know the one that the pilots love to boast about but seem very reluctant to use them in a theater of war ..sposse the paintwork getting scratched is a worry more so than your poor buddies on the ground under fire...
If anyone wants to attack me join the Q
I just find it amazing that some reason or other the messenger cops it every time, SS has provided the readers of this thread humour FACTUAL reports and some interesting conclusions as to the pro's and con's of this Global Eagle event.
I guess the ones who attack are maybe the ones who have something to hide??
Funny thing pride

Thought of you

Was in a popular fast food restraunt today, celebrating daughters birthday and found myself thinking about Global eagle....It was when was putting the change into a clear box by the till. Funny how such a small gesture can make all the difference to sombodys life. A couple of quid can save life in some countries, imagine what difference a few thousand could make.

BTW, well done on the 'over 600 posts' to this thread.

This has got to be a wind up.....

Are you all sat in the same room coming up with this stuff?

I wonder if you treat serving SNCO Pilots with as much contempt.
No, I doubt any serving individual would put some of what you've put on here. PM threats......now that wouldn't be like you would it SS?

Personally, well done to Mr J and the team (as this is what this was about) and I hope you have another go. People will always shoot you down for trying to achieve something outside of the box.

Volrider....just reporting the facts would fine if this was just an open and honest appraisal of Global Eagle.

As FJJP said when the exped ended and your man himself explained why.......

I agree with your sentiment about the small people who sit on their posteriors and whinge and criticise. If they were half the man that you are, then perhaps they would be more successful in life.

I haven't posted often in the forums where your sojourn featured. Frankly, it is due, in the main, to one tedious individual who purports to support you, but succeeds in mocking and making fun of your efforts at every opportunity.

I just think it's great that people like rotary pongo take the time out to post on this thread and at times maintain the momentum.

I don't believe I have threatened you at all rp, if you think I have then you have my permission to post the incriminating evidence here on this thread.

As I've said before, many times, being open in my view, maintains a level of credibility that is lacking in some who feel they must hide behind a user name, so please feel free to post that threatening pm that you accuse me of sending.

p.s. Happy Easter. (Nice to see the pope at his window at St. Peters Square this morning.)

rotary pongo;

It occured to me while looking for those pesky Easter Eggs this afternoon that I should try and find this pm you are concerned about.

As it happens, I tend to save my sent pms and when the folder is taking up too much space, print them out and delete them so that I have a record of what happens related to this thread.

Strange as it may seem, but I don't seem to have sent you any pms, let alone any threatening ones. Someone else maybe.

By the way, we can all do this;

Rotary Pongo wrote on 27th March 2005 15:41:

Sid,

I am sorry to accuse you of something you didn't do, I only tried to mention it to make myself look good.
All the best and no hard feelings Eh?

RP
Rp gets let out because it is Easter.

Edited to add this, after file search;

However, I have had a go at someone with 'pongo' in their username on the site of the 18th plural,
back in November 2004.
The first line of his/her reply just happens to be, "Can I suggest you stop threatening people......."

Just coincidence???

Come on rotary pongo, you've been on pprune on/off all afternoon but still not replied.

If you would like to own up to making a mistake it's fine. I have done it myself, here, and of course once I realised the error of my post admitted it and apologised (bottom of linked page).

But I suspect you only said it for the effect anyway, just like the link you gave. Factually incorrect and typical for someone hiding behind a username. (If you would like me to dissect that post again I would be most willing to, just to show how incorrect you are.)
It's a shame that your amigo, sitting_duck isn't here to fight on your side. (Or is he? )

You both fire posts for effect, but are not even using the correct gunner net.

By the way, you seem to think it bad for this thread to go on at GE, but think it fine to go on at SS the way you do.
Did either of you by any chance used to instruct at Deepcut?

I was going to write a really spot on post putting his PM on etc and showing how nasty SS could be........but then I thought....why on earth bother with what this individual says on the internet????

Mr J don't let him (or anyone else) get you down........life is full of losers because it's much harder to try to be a winner.

Anyone who's given up fox hunting might consider SS baiting......great form, and far easier to catch.

You did, and edited it before I posted this reply. However what you did say was;
almost as bad as you going on about serving guys getting shot in Iraq
Thread title = AAC Pilot shot but lands ok in Iraq

SS comment;
"Thankfully the situation wasn't a lot worse considering the arms flying around out there.
Get Well soon matey.
I hope the solo time will be logged ! "

Now if that is bad, I'm not surprised how easy it is to have a go at SS

Come on then who am I!
You asked me to name you, but as that is seen as below the belt, let me just say that the pm I sent with those words in you edited post was for rotary pongo on the site of the 18th plural.

edited for spelling

Can I suggest you stop threatening people.......

Strange that the 2 Rotary Pongos (one on pprune, the other 18th pl.) have referred to SS threatening them in a pm, when in fact the only rotary pongo that SS has sent a pm to is the one from the 18th plural.

The pprune rotary pongo refers to a threat from SS in a pm and then denies they he is the same person as the rp on the 18th plural.

Rotary Pongo has a really good SS bash on the 18th plural and then quelle surprise, we have a rotary pong on pprune bashing SS.

Profiles;
Rotary Pongo PPRuNe ;
Location Planet Wallop

Rotary Pongo 18th plural ;
Location: Planet Wallop

Now, if THAT isn\\\'t too much of a coincidence, what is?

SS
You asked me to name you, but as that is seen as below the belt, let me just say that the pm I sent with those words in you edited post was for rotary pongo on the site of the 18th plural.
RP
Err no it wasn\\\'t????????
How can you possibly know without having access to the 18th plural rps messages?

Nothing to do with me old chap............
I think it is and you are the same person!

By the way, a nice lot of post editing and deletion going on by Rotary Pongo.

edited to try to maintain continuity amongst the post deletions by rp!

You have been caught, any baiting was done at this end and you fell for the 'part time pongo' post.

OK then, explain why 2 totally different people on 2 totally different forum websites, both have a 'location' as 'Planet Wallop'?

They both like to as you say, bait SS.

The subjects of the threads that these 2 different rotary pongos decided to bait SS on were as follows;

PPRuNe;
1. Global Eagle - And 'Global Beagle - Around Britain in a Virtual Autogyro'
2.AAC Pilot shot but lands ok in Iraq

18th Plural;
a. The further adventures of the Intrepid Mr. Jones
b. Lynx Pilot Injured in Iraq

Yet more coincidence?

Rotary Pongo (18th pl ) is very active on the OTC and ACF forum
Rotary Pongo (pprune) Profile: Occupation: OTC cadet

Rotary Pongo registers on the
09th September 2003 (18th plural)
19th September 2003 (pprune)

OK a bit sketchy that one, but close enough to link them I think.

OK, how about this?

Rotary Pongo posts on 18th plural @ 00:04 28th March 2005
Rotary Pongo posts on PPRuNe.... @ 00:15 28th March 2005
Resend all before 'Hello, this is....'
By the way rp, I suggest you see your nearest RSI to sort out your voice procedure. You'll end up giving the aircrew a hard time from the signals guys. Something it took years for some of us to try and sort out.
(note try!!)

edited to tidy up.

You fell for the 'part time pongo' post.
No you mong.......

You got the ARRSE name wrong (there is a 'part time pongo' over there so I assumed you've annoyed him too and got our names mixed up) to which I said I was nothing to do with, which I'm not. Later you edited it to my actual screen name and then say I'm claiming I'm nothing to do with myself????

Eh?

Resend all before hello......
Didn't you see why that was ironic?????

Because there wouldn't be anything before 'hello'

I think we can see who is baiting who here.

Obviously with the post deletions going on rp will be able to claim anything. should anyone wish to see the saved pages with rps comments, they are welcome to a copy.

Yes there is a ptp over there, thats why I used him and the ptp was changed moments after the post purely to catch YOU out. (which it did )

WOW!, going through rps 'find all posts by this user' on his profile page, there has been a LOT of deletion going on.
I wonder why? Perhaps because what I say was there in print for all to see, but like the Labour party and the introduction of the FOI act, it is wiser to get rid of the evidence before all can see for themselves what rp is.
Because there wouldn't be anything before 'hello'
Unless of course it was a relay message!! ............ You still have a lot to learn.

Mmmm, Wattisham Officers Mess, Bank Holiday Monday...... it's going to be a long day for some,.... me, I'm out of here!

Oooops. Wrong (again).

Why would you say 'hello' other than at the start of a relayed message?

How have you caught me out by getting my user name wrong? By me denying that I'm not the user name I'm not?

well, we didn't need a crystal ball for that one.

In a previous post, I accused you of being at Dishcloth, but you corrected me and said you were at Wattashame.
